Hand not over mouth when coughing

Went shopping this morning and in front of us was a lady with a little boy of about 2. He was coughing a lot everywhere and in the direction of my ds (also 2) so I moved the buggy back a bit.

He carried on and started laughing, then so did his mum. He coughed again and she copied him and it went on whilst they were paying, coughing everywhere and laughing??

I wanted to say something but didn't as really hate confrontation.
My ds is 2, if he coughs we ask him to put his hand over his mouth, if he sneezes he does and then has his hands washed. I thought it was just basic manners????

AIBU to have found it disgusting? Should I have said something?

DP told someone to cover up their mouth when coughing on the tube the other day. They were actually very apologetic and did :). Helps that he's massive though.

I had a terrible cough and was in the pharmacy the other day. I kept coughing into my arm and people were giving me really odd looks mainly horrified that I dared be out in public with a hacking cough! but when I handed over the cash I'm sure the lady at the till was glad I hadn't first covered it in germs!

Gross. I had a women at spinning the other week who kept turning to sneeze in my direction Shock Worst thing was, on her other side was the wall! Why she couldn't turn that way I have no idea. I was fuming that she was doing it but even more fuming with myself for not challenging her Angry
