They will sting you if you are t very careful.
When u tick ts and cs you unwittingly agree to pay every month unless you opt out via the e mails they are supposed to send you it don't!
I've recently been stung by their other ripoff "just fab" and a google search showed in far from alone!

Yep it is very clear, used both fabletics and just fab and just milked the initial bargains then skipped every month. They emailed me to remind me every month, and when I got bored of skipping just rang and cancelled. Obviously they try every trick in the book to stop you cancelling, but if you stick to your guns they soon cancel and you can get a ref number so you know it's happened. I don't understand how anyone hands over bank details without checking what they're getting into, and then ignores emails and misses money coming out of their account Confused

alicoults17 · 13/11/2015 12:38

Don't buy anything from Fabletics! They are a scam they will charge you £44 a month going forward without telling you and they don't give any refunds. They also make it very difficult to cancel the membership.

If this has happened to you, please sign my petition, i'm trying really hard to get them shut down. it seems to have happened to so many people.

Many thanks

It's not a scam. It is on the front page that it is a subscription!

RooftopCat · 13/11/2015 12:56

Even if it is clear it's a monthly subscription, it's a pretty restrictive way to shop. You have only from the 1st til the 5th to check if you want the outfit? Who shops for clothes like this? And I agree with others, who needs new exercise clothes every month. It's nuts.

cleaty · 13/11/2015 12:57

Yes it says at the bottom of the front page that it is a subscription service. But a subscription service for clothes is unusual. The rest of the front page just looks like an ordinary clothes shopping site, so I can see why people buy an outfit not realising it is a subscription service.

RooftopCat · 13/11/2015 12:57

Oops. Old thread. Are they still in business?

Sirzy · 13/11/2015 13:00

I went to order an outfit, quickly realised it was a subscription thing so went elsewhere.

It was pretty clear what it was so I didn't buy, I would imagine they miss a lot of business this way.

NerrSnerr · 13/11/2015 13:05

I know it's a zombie thread but would love ali to explain why it's a scam? Because you didn't read the website or t&c properly?

cleaty · 13/11/2015 13:18

There are a lot of comments online about this company from people either saying they didn't realise it was a subscription service, or complaining their sizes were always out of stock and so they ere paying for nothing, and that it is very very difficult to cancel.

Reading reviews online it sounds like a scam to me.

fastdaytears · 13/11/2015 13:21

I don't get the concept at all. Who needs gym wear every month?

That said, the advert and website both make it really clear that there's an ongoing commitment.

Not a new idea is it, just a weird thing to buy by subscription.

cleaty · 13/11/2015 13:24

But an ongoing commitment that many people are saying is extremely difficult to cancel.

fastdaytears · 13/11/2015 13:31

I'm not going to read through loads of reviews but a straw poll of this thread shows more people found it easy to cancel than had problems. The only problem seems to be being kept on hold for a while which is annoying but doesn't make this a scam.

It's a rubbish idea though and I doubt it will be around much longer. Sorry Kate, back to the movies!

sleepwhenidie · 13/11/2015 13:41

I've subscribed and bought a few things. It's not a scam and it is very easy to skip each month, you get two emails during the 5 day window telling you it's time to either choose and order or skip and the link takes you directly to their website and a big SKIP THE MONTH button. I've skipped about 11 out if that last 12 months. However...customer service is shockingly bad - no acknowledgement of returns (collected by courier), at least two weeks to process refunds, mistakes when it comes to returns and refunds so for that reason I wouldn't recommend them.

NerrSnerr · 13/11/2015 13:49

Loads of 'who needs gym kit every month' comments. I don't, but it doesn't mean that some people don't want it. Horses for courses and all that.

sleepwhenidie · 13/11/2015 14:35

I'd love to buy new gym kit every month, if money were no object. I spend 70% of my waking time in it. It definitely wouldn't be all or even 20% from Fabletics though Grin

cleaty · 13/11/2015 16:24

People talk about ringing to cancel and their phone call either not being answered at all, or having to wait a shockingly long time to get anyone to answer so they can cancel it. They won't accept a cancellation by any means except a phone call.

There are also LOTS of comments on the net from people who wanted to be part of it, but every month their sizes were out of stock except in 1 or 2 styles. If you are going to run this properly, you need to have the clothes available in the sizes you say you will.

I have never read so many bad reviews on line about a company. If different people keep saying the same thing again and again, I think there is an issue.
