YANBU! 35 weeks here...
The skin on my stomach is now so taut it feels like it might rip like tissue paper but it's insanely itchy. My scratching has opened up huge wounds which are super painful yet simultaneously itchy.

I have horrendous SPD so can hardly move. Standing up hurts. Sitting down hurts. Laying in bed... hurts.

I have terrible acid reflux and even sleeping with my head at a 90 degree angle to my body isn't stopping me waking up choking on my own vomit.

Piles. Thrush. Recurring UTIs. GD.

Two highly active under 3yr olds and still at work full time for another fortnight.

I'm incredibly grateful to be able to "enjoy" my healthy pregnancy. But my word, I need this baby out soon! I've rarely felt less healthy than I do right now!

gincamelbak · 30/01/2015 20:54

YANBU
39 weeks here. Can barely move. Have spent the last three weeks plus concerned about breech baby (now thankfully head down).
Agonising crotch, feel like metal bar is regularly being bounced off my pubic bone.
Terrifying piles. Proper terror.
Insomnia.

It took us 17 months to get pregnant this time (15 months for DD) and I don't care if people think I should shut up and stop complaining. Doesn't matter how long it takes to conceive, sometimes pregnancy really does suck. Being pregnant is fantastic, over thE moon to be pregnant. But actual pregnancy can be difficult.

gincamelbak · 30/01/2015 20:56

I forgot to mention the heartburn that's been destroying me since approx 5wks pregnant.
And the tiredness. And not being able to walk up stairs without breathing heavily. I ran a half marathon the week before I found out I was pregnant, I sound like I've never walked further than 5metres in my life.
And the stretch marks. Ye gads.

ghostspirit · 30/01/2015 21:02

Bonbon I'm not saying for a second my experience invalidates your experience (or anyone elses), I was just responding to the OP who asked whether she was BU in moaning (i.e. asking for people's opinions) about her aches and pains. I said she was a bit. I never mentioned you or anyone else. That's my opinion. We're all entitled to one Hmm.

Bonbonbonbon · 30/01/2015 21:08

Omg what is with the hair!? I don't shave but seriously considering getting it all waxed off, I look like a yeti. I swear my legs are hairier than dh's.

FreeWee · 30/01/2015 21:10

I'm on sick leave with a toddler at CM 3 days a week and I still feel shit! Never mind working part time never mind full time! Only 20 weeks with
All day everyday sickness
Pelvic girdle pain
Rampant heartburn
Plantar fasciitis

Glad to be pregnant but feeling sorry for myself!!

Cockbollocks · 30/01/2015 21:18

YANBU

27 weeks huge (I know this because people keep telling me Hmm) and feel hungry all the time.

Punched down there feeling
Clicking pelvis
Have to turn over every half an hour in bed
Chronic leg/foot cramp in-between turning over in bed (note I say 'turn over' as rolling over is impossible and I have to hoist myself up to sitting to move)
Heartburn
Constant weeing

Oh and bonbon I recently sat on a tube of immac so as to deal with the yeti that has appeared on my undercarriage!!

but on the other hand things could go wrong for others as well (hope all gos well for everyone of course) does not mean people are not in pain and uncomfortable. same as people moan about tooth ache and things.

by same token it is on aibu... so its fine to say if i am or not dont really matter im still gonna moan :) :)

YANBU

I've still got severe SPD and my "baby" is 18yo! My symphysis pubis is degenerate and had a lot of inflammation in it, so I am on the waiting list for my 6th major operation on my pelvis in 9 years!

ghostspirit · 30/01/2015 21:30

omfg wtf... i never knew that could happen i thought it went when baby was borning/ poor you :(

OP posts:
ghostspirit · 30/01/2015 21:30

TheFairyCaravan · 30/01/2015 21:37

It does for most women ghost but for a few it never gets better. I'm one of the unlucky ones. I can't walk unaided and am in constant pain.

mrsm16 · 30/01/2015 22:49

yanbu 25 weeks with twins

off sick since Dec with back pain that's getting more severe as each day passes
lady bits feeling very tender
hips hurting at night
2yr old not understanding why mammy can't carry him everywhere
heartburn
piles
Cankles
sore heels
tears minimum of once a day getting to be closer to once an hour
all fun and games! but it will be worth it in the end!

PixieChops · 31/01/2015 07:26

YANBU. This is my second pregnancy, I already have an 8 month old and I am 20 weeks pregnant next week!
I'm tired and achey mostly, suffering with dizzy spells and constantly starving at the moment! I will admit this pregnancy is a walk in the park compared to my last with DD.
I also want my OH to get the snip but he won't do I'm going to have to double up on contraception next time as he has bloody super sperm which breaks through all barriers! I have been caught pregnant twice now on 2 different pills. I am also wondering how I'll be able to run round after a 1 year old with a newborn, my DD will most likely be walking in a months time and is already so active that if we don't do something every day (go out) she screams the place down! Yes I'm moaning and yes I'm grateful for my DD and this new baby who is along in June but as mentioned everyone's story is different and we should be able to have a good whinge without being told to put up and shut up. I'm very aware that I'm lucky to have children as so many women cannot.

paxtecum · 31/01/2015 07:39

Op: are you taking any multi vits.?
The Pregnacare Max are really good. Three packs for the price of two in Boots.
Restless leg syndrome can be associated with vitamin deficiencies.

Mammanat222 · 31/01/2015 07:48

Of course you're not being unreasonable to moan.

I have a 10 day old and I did my fair share of moaning (had a text book pregnancy but still suffered. .... also I worked until I was 38w)

I did however made sure I moaned 'appropriately'. IE to my partner or on the pregnancy website I use.

In general people [work colleagues especially] don't really have much sympathy about your pregnancy gripes.

SummerHouse · 31/01/2015 08:12

Pregnancy yoga was my saviour. I didn't have physical problems but mental ones.. Unless you count the hair! Also my feet grew a size and never went back... Anyway I digress. Pregnancy yoga was amazing for me and it helped to hear at the start of each session what all these brave, strong beautiful pregnant women were dealing with. Much like here! YANBU

Gwenci · 31/01/2015 11:23

YANBU OP!!

Yes, we're lucky to be having babies, many people struggle and have terrible experiences but that doesn't stop pregnancy being utter crap and we're entitled to moan about it!!

I'm 32 weeks with second pregnancy and was Mrs Smuggins with the first - easy peasy, couldn't really see what people were moaning about.

Not this time! Nothing properly serious, just huge, uncomfortable, slave to my bladder, insomnia, piles, horrible constipation and constantly breathless and doing this weird panting thing every so often just to feel my lungs actually fill up!

Plus YES to looking like a yeti down there!! I can't see to paint my toe nails let alone tidy my lady garden which DH reliably informs me is now a lady jungle.

On the plus-side, DH is incredibly sympathetic and keeps repeatedly apologising for putting me through this and thanking me for doing it again!! I'm earning some serious brownie points.

Right, I'm off to pee.

PlummyBrummy · 01/02/2015 12:33

Thank goodness someone has said it out loud! I'm really trying not to whinge BUT the constant knackeredness, the extreme hairiness, the piddling and the fact that I am huge at only 26 weeks (someone asked me last week if I was expecting twins - how I laughed as I elephant punched her) all makes me want to scream out loud! And WHAT is with the achey lady bits?!?

TheEagle · 01/02/2015 12:47

YANBU

I'm 25 weeks with twins and have been sick since New Year's with vomiting bugs/colds/sinus infection.

Last night I developed a rotten cough which resulted in me weeing myself every time I coughed Confused

I'm getting big, uncomfortable and my tummy is being constantly squashed and pummelled by transverse T2.

My DS is 16mo today and I can barely lift him or push him in the buggy anymore.

Plus I live with my ILs - at one time MIL had 4 children under 4 so I get zero sympathy here.

I am so grateful to be pregnant and so excited to have twins but that doesn't mean that day-to-day living isn't a bit of a struggle!

Flowers and Cake for you OP!
