To really resent the amount of tax we pay.

I hate it, we pay a vast amount of tax to live in a country where we can't see a GP for a fortnight, feel criminalised every time we go to an airport, pay even more tax again to drive a car on inadequate and over crowded roads. Get squashed on crowded transport which is filthy and unreliable, where criminals seem to always be on the beneficial side of human rights.

I can't be the only one who feels like this?

Atticus, that "breakdown" is so biased the Office of National Statistics told the Tories not to use it.

90% of the 24% "welfare" figure is the state pension, but the Tories wanted the welfare spend to look as big as possible to facilitate further cuts, so they refused to break it down.

The person I know who is most anti tax, is my friends dh who earns a fortune in it consulting and often works on government projects and sees the wastage, including himself.

Casper - what a privileged position you must be in to not miss 100 a month (double if you have a partner)
