to keep using vests with poo stains for DD?

DD (17 months) had a poo explosion this morning. Couldn't face dealing with the tights so they've gone in the bin. The vest has been washed but still has unattractive brown stains around the legs. So AIBU to keep dressing her in this vest. No-one can see the stains when she's dressed. Feels wrong but surely it's okay if it's been washed.

Dylon is your friend. I dyed loads of babygros/ vests lots of bright colours, it hides a multitude of sins. Including tomato, carrot etc.

I would get the stains out. Bucket, couple of kettles full of boiling water, cup of detergent, half a cup of bleach. Soak for several hours, then wash in machine, Dry outdoors facing the sun so UV light can brighten.

after a boil wash there is not a bit of poo left on them. Not a bit. They aren't dirty, they don't smell and there's no risk of any sort of contamination or anything.

what you are seeing is really just a dye. Natural not chemical too Grin

I'd always use them.

So the baby has a stained vest on under their clothes.

Approx 80% of babies are wearing the same thing Grin

yanbu, given it's not on show. it's clean, just stained.

ywbu to chuck it and buy more IMO, how wasteful that would be.
