To think my iPad is a personal possession

....like a phone ? I have some friends who come to stay and ask to use my iPad or if it's lying around simply help themselves. I don't know why but this annoys me, like my phone I consider it to be 'mine' and not a household object for general use like a kettle for instance.
I think they should bring their own devices if they want to surf when staying with me.

Definitely NBU. I went out for a few drinks with a friend and was texting another friend from my phone. My (now separated from) husband was on MY iPad reading all my messages Shock

I hide mine! It's personal, I have my kindle app with my books on and I'm connected to social media and mumsnet in it, I don't see why I have to clear everything after I've used it. Definitely NBU. I have disabled the iMessage on it though, I don't store messages on it from my phone.

YANBU! That would really pee me off. Everyone who has visited me has had their own devices with them and I have no problems letting them have my wifi password.

I have an android, it has a guest account that I don't mind anyone using.

Guest access to the internet? Fuck that Hmm

I'd put it away. Just say the battery's flat (it is a kind of flat shape, so not a lie).

Make sure that when your friend next comes round you have open a website for something really embarrassing (e.g. a search for a bizarre sexual practice). Or this thread.
