to expect Tesco's to have at least one bottle of water?

My online shop is packed at the Enfield Dotcom branch (so is a warehouse, not a customer facing store).

At least four times in the last couple of months they have not delivered the Volvic 1.5L bottled water I asked for as they are 'out of stock' and have not offered a replacement.

Are they seriously telling me they don't have a single large bottle of water of any brand within their reach?

This is WATER. Not an organic black truffle mushroom. Not Hemp milk sweetened with rare berries. WATER.

I think Tesco know I'm on MN! Just had a delivery and got a free bottle of water! Shock

Vino I also work for Tesco Dot Com at one of the best departments in the company, coming first or second. Perhaps we work at the same place Wink.

I typed out a whole long reply and just lost it Sad, however, I want to say that I agree with all that Vino said. We really do try our best to keep the customer happy. Unfortunately, there are always some people/pickers, as in all companies, that are just not as conscientious as others. We definitely do not want to upset our customers. We want to keep them happy so that they keep coming back. It's a shame when you don't hear anywhere near as much about the orders that are perfect.

I would suggest, OP, that you keep ringing Customer Services and get a special message put on your orders that you always want some kind of water delivered, as a PP suggested.

IloveJudgeJudy I emailed again a few days ago and was told the Home Shopping Manager would be in touch.

I don't expect perfection, nor do I get it. To be honest it's quite rare I get an order with no subs/missing items but that's life. I've also had to buy Tofu and Pledge duster refills from my local Sainsburys because Tesco are constantly out of stock. But this water thing just draws the line.

I once ordered online groceries from Tescos. In place of margarine, they substituted a Daily Mail. ??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never ordered online from them again.
