AIBU to wish the CE of Disney had spent *his* Xmas morning struggling to put Elsa's dress on?

Dd1, like pretty much every small girl in the country, is Frozen obsessed. So she asked for a Frozen Elsa doll that you can dress and undress for Xmas. I did a lot of searching and finally found the Elsa wardrobe set - small Barbie-style doll, two dresses, wardrobe with hangers etc - absolutely ideal.

But the bloody thing is so badly and cheaply made you can't get the dress on and off. The sticky-outy doll fingers catch in the very narrow and badly sewn sleeves.

I tried. DH tried. Grandma tried, with a sharp pencil. Granny tried to undo and re-sew the sleeves - but not enough material. Current attempt is using Sellotape to make a point over the doll's hands.

AIBU to be fuming with Disney for selling a dress-up doll you can't sodding dress?

I'd cut the buggers fingers off!

Finger is only the tip (sorry!) of the problem, the inside of the (bee narrow and tight) sleeve is mostly blocked by threads.

Yanbu we have exactly the same issue with rapunzel doll - I've put it at the bottom of the toy box to stop the struggle to dress it!

Oh and dd got an elsa dress up outfit which she can't wear as it's so scratchy that she can't bear it.

You need to persevere and basically rip through the threads using the pointy fingers. You then use a 2 steps forward 1 step back approach with the pointy figures to slowly work your way down the sleeves.

After a couple of times of doing this it just becomes a bit easier.

Is it the black sleeves that are causing the most problems? I feel your pain.

It's the gauzy material sleeves which are most catchy (and most badly sewn). The others are doable with the two steps forward, one step back approach, but the gauzy ones took me literally hours (with the help of a very sharp pencil).

Dd got given a barbie type doll on a visit to Santa that you have to take the head and limbs off to change the dresses Hmm quite disturbing. Can't believe they don't test these things.

I bought a copy one from China for 4 pounds, we had no issues with it tbh lol
