Plusnet messed me around and messed up my bill. So they refunded what they owed me 22 pounds in November. However they did the samein Dec and jan. I know its a mistake, but aibu to just keep quiet about it? Money is tight andi did spend a lot calling them up to sort out the mistakes they made

I bet you'd be after them quickly if you were paying £22 too much each month. You're proving yourself a dishonest thief basically. They work the same as John Lewis and give a share of their profits to their staff so you're not taking from "just" the company but normal people too.

PurpleSwift · 17/01/2015 20:37

Yabvu. They will notice and will want it back. You're doing yourself no favors. If you want reimbursement for your phone calls then contact them about it.

BoredChurch · 17/01/2015 20:41

I'd let the know too. It's a no brainer.

NatashaGurdin · 18/01/2015 13:31

Yes londonrach!

I had to phone them to get my TV and Sky box set up with my broadband and it was nice to speak to someone I could actually understand who wasn't following a script!

WillWorkForMoney · 18/01/2015 18:33

Bit different but ntl didnt charge us for broadband for around a yr and a half, when they changed to virgin it was picked up, but they couldnt backdate it as it was their mistake.

Though i think they are getting their own back now by giving us the slowest bb ever (meant to be 120meg we get about 20 on a good day!)

Tinks42 · 18/01/2015 18:39

On the one hand it's their own mistake and sod them.

On the other, you have a direct debit with them and yes, they can zap the payment out in one hit.

You said, this would be a huge problem for you, so I'd send them an email stating the amount that you have had to cough up and see if they just deduct the balance.

Blackout234 · 18/01/2015 18:39

YABU. Money is tight for alot of us, no need to commit theft.

Tinks42 · 18/01/2015 18:46

theft.... oh some of you do make me laugh.

Tribeca10013 · 18/01/2015 18:52

When they realise the error theyll take it back via direct debit

fishinabarrell · 18/01/2015 19:20

Plusnet customer service is dire. At east it was three years ago when I was with them. I'd still sort it out with them though, it's not your money it's theirs and they will take it back when money may be even tighter.

alittlethyme · 18/01/2015 21:13

Written a mail to them.

Its hardly theft! When I had a well paid job I never took any attention of direct debits.
