I'm not sure why you'd need special shops to get you DS clothes. 6'2 isn't abnormal. My DH is 6'4 and just gets his clothes in ordinary high street stores.

no offence but teenagers and men have different taste in cloths a lot of teen fashion you can't get in big and tall because their for men

We wants to wear what's his friends are wearing skinny jeans are out of the questions but sensible jeans and New England coats are not really the look for 15 years old thought it's increasingly looking like he may not have much choice

My brother is 36, 6.5 and wears skinny jeans....

SugarplumKate · 09/01/2015 20:40

My problem is that 14 year old DS is tall and very skinny so I can get 28 waist/32 leg in topman at the moment, but he is almost out of those length wise but a 28 waist/34 leg is going to be more tricky. I feel for you re the feet, DS is size 10 and showing no signs of stopping!

My brother is all of 22 and an avid follower of fashion

36" inside leg isn't that long. I'm a 34" inside leg and find trousers really easily, my sister is a 36" and also finds them easily. No idea of brothers, I'd assume a hell of a lot longer and also seems capable of dressing himself.

My poor dh though...he's a 36" waist and a 28" leg Grin short arse!

I have similar problems but with 2 x 12 year olds. DTS1 5ft 8, size 10 shoe and DTS2 5ft 11 and size 11 shoe. They no longer fit in kids clothes but men's clothes are way too big on the waist, even in x small and they are not skinny.

Luckily school trousers go up to age 16 and DTS2's are just starting to creep up his ankles. They are currently still wearing the last lot of jeans/joggers that I bought in October in H&M and they are flapping above the ankles but luckily they have high top trainers. I really need to take them shopping urgently but that is not a pleasant task so I have been putting it off!

Don't get me started on my food bill!

My DH is 6ft5 and size 14 feet struggles to find clothes / shoes - try Walk Tall for shoes and 2 Tall for jeans. Not sure how good they will be for teenage boys but worth a look, good luck!

We have the same with our children.Youngest DD is only 7 and she has to have small women's clothes or 15-16 years in clothes. She's taller than some of the secondary age children that her brothers and sister go to school with and she's already in a size 4 women's shoes.

Our oldest feet have slowed down(size 11) but his legs and height haven't.He's 18 and just of 6 ft 2 now and a 34 inch leg. He's really slim as well 28-30 inch waist so it's hard buying him clothes.

All of ours (5DC)are going to be giants. My 11 year old is as tall as me already and in a size 7 women's shoes. My 13 year old is taller than me and in a size 8 men's shoes and our 16 year old towers over me now and is in a men's size 9 shoes.

None of mine have slowed down so far.I hope they do in the future. They cost us a small fortune in shoes and clothes.

My 16 year old is 6ft 3ins,has size 14 feet,a 38" waist and 34" inside leg. Next jeans are good-but for Xmas we got him some stuff from Jacamo and it's fab!
Their tops are 2" longer in the body and sleeves, so fit better.I found that tshirts from 'ordinary' shops were too short, but the Jacamo ones are great. Not badly priced either.

AnneofCheese · 10/01/2015 06:05

My DH gets skinny jeans in uniqlo no problem. T shirts and shirts also fine from there and plenty teens shop there so don't think it's too old fashioned!

TheMidnightHour · 10/01/2015 11:12

Skis, sadly, require ski boots which are even more of a pain to fit than regular shoes. Can I recommend a matched pair of canoes? Wink

I was 5'10" when I was 11 and grew another couple inches so I've never had trousers that fit right. I feel your pain. I don't know if this works for men's shoes, but for women's I find if the shoe is wider, the size I need is smaller, so perhaps worth a look?
