Tesco delivery man just left 10 big dog shitty footprints on my hall carpet. AIBU to ring and complain and make them pay for carpet cleaners? DH says I am BU and it's just one of those things but I'm 6 months pregnant and can't even get on the floor to clean it myself nevermind haul myself back up again afterwards. I'm so angry, pregnancy rage has definitely set in today!! AngryAngryAngryAngry

Fair enough- you didn't mention spd before. V annoying but can't see what the driver having a fag has to do with it

hmc · 06/01/2015 11:49

Yes well done indeed Tesco - really impressed!

YABU to have hall carpet Grin

Clobbered · 06/01/2015 11:54

Excellent response from Tesco, and I hope the inconsiderate driver got a ticking off too!

I've been on crutches for 18.5 years with SPD, and had 5 major pelvic surgeries.

Take an empty bucket to the vicinity of the mess, then take the kettle full of boiling water. Pour that into the bucket, add a liberal squirt of disinfectant.
If your pain in your pelvis in worse on the left side, keep your right crutch and vice versa, use your other hand to mop the carpet. Leave the mop and bucket where it is until DH gets home and he can sort it.

Good service from Tesco.

TidyDancer · 06/01/2015 12:05

I'm hoping you didn't complain about the driver specifically because I doubt he did it on purpose (!) but I guess it's done now anyway regardless. I wouldn't have complained personally but if I'd felt like I needed to, I would've been very clear I wasn't having a go about the driver, rather just that it was an accident etc. Not sure how him stopping to have a smoke is relevant btw.

limitedperiodonly · 06/01/2015 12:12

the driver couldn't even say sorry because he was too busy having a smoke before he got back in the van.

A smoker who wades through shit? He's probably trying to mask the lingering smell of the fags. Mints don't always work.

Good response from Tesco though.

Op, find out where he lives, go to his home and TRAMP SHIT ON HIS CARPET.
That'll learn him!

Perhaps supermarkets should provide their drivers with those plastic things to put on top of shoes. Excellent response from Tesco. I'm sure the driver will get a ticking off too. Frankly all of the Tesco drivers who deliver to me are lovely but you're bound to get the odd bad one. Perhaps he's new to the job.
