My neighbour across from us has 12 dogs, luckily they don't bark and we seldom hear them but wtf anyone wants that many dogs for I don't know.

Gileswithachainsaw · 30/12/2014 21:46

Not one of those Sad

poor things. just why would someone do that

HeartShapedBox · 30/12/2014 22:21

what a selfish arse she is

poor animals Sad

Cantbelievethisishappening · 30/12/2014 22:23

What is she doing with these animals?

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 30/12/2014 23:23

Selfish bitch. Animals much like humans have feelings too.

NorksEnormous · 30/12/2014 23:27

Where are they going?

AmantesSuntAmentes · 30/12/2014 23:28

YANBU! I wish dog ownership was recorded in some way. Not to prevent people having and properly caring for as many as they choose but to spot patterns like this and 'flipping'. Poor 'disposable' creatures Angry

Backtobedlam · 30/12/2014 23:29

Is she having them to socialise? Some breeders send puppies to family homes to get socialised, then have them back when they are old enough to be trained and worked.

taxi4ballet · 30/12/2014 23:30

They are probably going to a different rescue shelter every time and handing in a 'stray'.

MrBisinbother · 31/12/2014 07:30

I dont know where they are going.she tells the kids they have gone to the farm.I do check local rescue websites when they dissapear, if I ever spot one of the dogs on it, I will try and do more about it. She gets the animals during school holidays such as summer and Christmas as disposable playthings.
We did ask the dog warden about it but he cant help,no laws being broken.

I hope it's 'only' that she likes them when they're small and cute but rehomes them when they're bigger. That's bad enough by itself, but I hope she's not 'disposing' of them in a worse way Sad What a dreadful person.

Leela5 · 31/12/2014 07:49

Is there any chance she's a fosterer?

Andrewofgg · 31/12/2014 07:55

Which local restaurants are worrying you?

Leela5 · 31/12/2014 08:14

Fosterers take young animals to socialise and train then give back to rescue for rehoming. Is it possible this is what she's doing?

sweetsundaefortwo · 31/12/2014 08:18

Could you write an anonymous letter, not a nasty one (though fucking tempting) pointing out what happens to these animals once they are dumped onwards, how many are put to sleep and generally anything very guilt inducing. Think I would do that otherwise just might be tempted to smack her over the head with large saucepan..... Blush

JeffVaderRunsTheDeathStar · 31/12/2014 08:20

Andrew what are you on about?

Springcleanish · 31/12/2014 08:24

They're not going back to a puppy farm to be bred from are they? Poor things, sounds horrific for the pups whatever.

mutternutter · 31/12/2014 08:33

Could you speak to her to find out more first?

ColdTeaAgain · 31/12/2014 08:36

Contact RSPCA, they may be able to send someone round for a chat with her at least. She may well tell a pack of lies but it sends the message that people are noticing what she's doing.

Really wish it was law to have some sort of permit and record for every dog bought and sold.

I've got a 'friend' who does this. 2 kittens and 2 puppies in 5 years. Once they get older they disappear.

She pretty much dropped her older child when she had her new baby. He rarely gets a look in now.

KingJoffreysHasABigWhiteBeard · 01/01/2015 08:43

My lovely bunny was also rescued from a cardboard box in a friends kitchen.

Bought for child who got bored within weeks and bunny was shoved at anyone who'd look after her.

DoingTheBestICan · 01/01/2015 10:17

JenniferGovernment my neighbours dogs aren't rescue dogs, they are all her own, she tends to like a different breed of dog every 5 years or so and will breed them to sell on but unfortunately she ends up keeping them all.

Her poor dh is in his early 80's and can't cope with the situation anymore, she allows the dogs the run of the house and some of them are not house trained so the house smells of urine. They have chewed skirting boards and furniture and the wife sees no problem with how they live.

crumblebumblebee · 01/01/2015 11:03

They are nasty bastards. Sad While I agree that puppies are snuggly and cute, they are hard work and I am so glad my dog is older. The toileting stage and the night whining was worse than with the DC!
