To be pissed off that I am still at work?

Its commonly known that we work a short day on Christmas Eve. Usually knocking off around 2pm. I haven't got lunch as I assume I will be going early. I and many of my colleagues have nothing left to do and are sitting around twiddling our thumbs, we could all go home. I'm hungry, board and fed up and just want out.

I'm the fucking boss.

But my idiotic, martyr, stingy Grinch like business partner is determined to make everyone work as long as possible. His estimate is that we can knock off some time around 3.30. By the time we have locked down and locked up for the shut down I will be lucky to be home by 5pm.

My DH is already on the way home after festive drinks with work mates.

Business Partner is also family member. Would it be wrong to poison his turkey tomorrow with laxatives to get my own back.

Luckily I'm off today until Sunday, but DP is at work until 7pm. He was meant to get off at five but he text me a couple of hours ago to say management have told them all they need to stay until seven, which has kind of put a dampener on our Christmas plans.

Hope you get off soon.

I finished yesterday, but not at the usual 2:30 - no, had to stay to the usual finish time. Nothing to do. Bored shitless.
Hope you get off soon.
