to be annoyed how this Xmas card is addressed?

On the envelope it just had DH's name, and in the card it says to MrHawk1ns, MrsHawk1ns and kids. we only have 2 children, not 10! Would it have been so difficult to have written their names too? They're short names not long names if that makes any difference.

I dont get why you would go to the effort to send someone a card if you didnt even know their names, just seems a bit odd to make an effort in one respect but not another

I don't know my work colleagues childrens names. I'm not overly interested either. I've never met them and probably never will do. "To X and family" is perfectly acceptable in those circumstances, imo.

We love it when we receive them to Mr Delaney and family, or Otto and Luann + kids. Especially from close family, I think it brings some joy into life.

I loved it one year we received a card from our neighbours across the road, signed from Barbara and Steve. I couldn't work out who they were, I had called Barbara Janet for three years! And sent them really wrongly addressed Christmas cards.

I wrote our cards to the neighbours yesterday and pulled out last years to check spellings etc.
The woman over the road listed her children last year but this year wrote 'and girls'.
I wrote her card including all names. Have I done wrong? I had no idea it was all so fraught.

I have 3 staff who have 7 children & step children among them. I work with them all day every day. I could not remember the name of 1 child, while writing the cards the night before my last day at work. So I just wrote to 'hername and hisname and family' on them all.

Can I assume they are all now incredibly offended?

Personally I don't mind & kids / & family at all but I feel annoyed when we get cards which don't acknowledge them at all!
ie. To 'LTW & Mr LTW'. This is from some neighbours and also family friends!
But I am probably being (a little) unreasonable
