He hasn't done it to himself though, a qualified medical professional has done it, they should be struck off.

Sure he didn't physically do it to himself but he paid someone to do it.

RunnerHasbeen · 20/12/2014 09:59

Of course he can be struck off for doing something he's asked to do. Addicts chasing painkillers don't get the final say on their prescriptions, this is no different.

catsofa · 20/12/2014 14:43

Yes of course he can. People often ask for medical treatments which would not in fact be suitable or safe for them, the whole point of medical qualifications is to ensure that what is actually done is safe and appropriate, and this is clearly not.

TSSDNCOP · 20/12/2014 14:52

He's missed the mark by some considerable distance.

His "surgeon" should be strung up struck off.

zaracharlotte · 20/12/2014 14:54

Surely this is one of the dangers of America's healthcare system. Corrupt surgeons consenting to any procedure as long as the cash is on the table.

zaracharlotte · 20/12/2014 14:55

Oh fecking hell - he's British. But the prices are in dollars. Where on earth did he have these surgeries then?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/12/2014 16:30

The trouble is, he could have gone to 10, 20 or 50 surgeons who all say "no" but eventually he;ll find The One that has no scruples and for whom the money talks.
He who pays the piper calls the tune?

Very sad indeed. He probably thinks he looks lush.

Tinks42 · 20/12/2014 16:33

Oh dear. Reminds me of the guy who has spent thousands to look like Justin Beiber.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/12/2014 16:35

I watched a "This Morning" programme years ago (when it was Fern and Phil) . Alicia Douvell had just had another breast enlargement.

Fern was very Hmm and suggested it wasn't a good look ( I can't remember her exact words but she suggested it looked a bit freaky)

Alicia D just kept twittering on "I like big boobs. I like big boobs. I don't think I look like a freak. I like big boobs"

Sounded like she was trying to convince herself (and yes she did look awful TBH)
Well, she wasn't happy after all that was she?

hiddenhome · 20/12/2014 17:13

Blimey, the surgeon must be partially sighted Confused

catsofa · 20/12/2014 17:26

Yes, it's one of the (many) big problems with private healthcare in general, it simply isn't the same as other market places in which the consumer can be blindly obeyed and given what they want, even if you think that's a good system for other kinds of goods and services.

The trouble is, he could have gone to 10, 20 or 50 surgeons who all say "no" but eventually he;ll find The One that has no scruples and for whom the money talks

And that's the one who should be struck off.

Bovnydazzler · 20/12/2014 18:23

He works at my gym on reception. I'm not sure how he affords it all. To be honest it looks just as shocking in real life. I've actually found him quite condescending and unhelpful when I've dealt with him [completely beside the point].

FreudiansSlipper · 20/12/2014 18:30

how sad

walking around Selfridges last week the amount of overdone plastic surgery was frightening how can surgeons get away with it
