To think you shouldn't buy yourself presents in December!

DH asked for an XboxOne. He also started buying himself games. I pointed out that I might find him a package (console + game) and to know what games he'd bought, which ones he would want and to warn him not to buy any more.
I was lucky and got a great deal in an Amazon Lightning sale with the console, an extra controller, 2 games and Xbox Live Gold membership.

Today he has told me that he decided yesterday to upgrade back to Gold membership in time for getting his XboxOne!!! Don't know how much they cost but think he could have waited to see what he got. I've told him that I've got him one too and he's not sure if he'll be able to use it after his runs out or if he could get a friend to buy it off him.

AIBU to be grumpy that he bought himself something this close to Christmas?

This is one of my pet hates. Every year I make sure DH gets the things he wants but I always try to get a couple of surprises too. Every year without fail he either goes out and buys or sees and points out one of his surprise presents. He's done it again this year. I end up sitting there on Christmas morning going "I bought this before you even mentioned it" just so that he knows there was meant to be something he hadn't asked for.

Arrrrgh! My OH does this all the time. Drives me nuts. I have to constantly remind him not to buy things. He's like a bloody magpie except it's DVD's, games and stupid figurines from bloody comics rather than glittery stuff

Can u feel my rage!Xmas Grin
