Today got a bag of mini amaretto biscuits 'amarcini' that are amazing, lots of fab bits for secret Santa hamper from pound shop and an amazing bravissimo dress from charity shop for £2.99!! Did pop some extra ££££'s in collection box in charity shop though. Any other bargains anyone? Xmas Smile

I don't think pound shops are as bargainous as people think. They sell things at 1/3-1/2 the size they're sold in regular stores and in regular stores they're only maybe 20p more for a fair bit more product. Also it's really difficult to go in there and only buy one thing, I bet hardly anyone does because you get so carried away thinking "oh look, that's £3 in morrisons! Let's buy 5 packs" Grin. That's how they make their money really.

charity shops are only good depending on where you live. The ones in my home town are shite because it's quite a run down working class city, a lot of the population are old people so the stuff in charity shops isn't to my taste shall we say being a young kinda edgy woman Wink. Whereas Camden and some bigger cities, the charity shops are AMAZING because most people who live there and thus donate there are 'with it'.

For a retail fix, I like to take out £10 and go for a swish round the local charity shops. At the end, I have a big bag of goodies, have had some much needed cardio AND been charitable Grin

Charity Shops in London are not great as everyone ebays stuff. But back home in Warwickshire i got a never worn Jasper Conran summer dress for 8 !! And hardback best sellers unread after Xmas used to be 1.

Poundland is great for large size tins of hot choc (SO expensive in supermarket) and cheap branded shampoo, deoderant, chocolate and biscuits. But the cereal and coffee are only small size so thats no cheaper. And 3 tins of branded baked beans for a 1 is still way cheaper than other supermarkets. The branded cleaning products are way way bertter buy as well.
