He's 40 FFS.
After meals he's really enjoyed he will lick the plate. Not just once but hold it up and lick it completely clean. It's absolutely revolting and it makes me feel queasy. I don't know why but I can't stand it. He obviously doesn't do this outside of the house in a restaurant etc but what sort of model is it to ds?!

I've watched him do it this evening and it made me want to get a divorce! Slight overreaction perhaps but still, gross!

I once was seeing a guy really liked him. we went to a really nice Indian restaurant food was lovely having a great time then he licked his knife. that was it for me

gosh how your life might have been different if he had done this sooner Grin

show him this thread his ego will be hurt but I think worth the pain

YANBU. As a one off - in a jokey way to show huge appreciation for a meal you've cooked - I could find it endearing, possibly funny. But after every single meal? Disgusting.

That said - had he always done this? If so, did you previously find it possible to turn a blind eye? Or is this a new, cringeworthy habit he's developed?

Yuk!

badfurday · 10/12/2014 21:48

Is it really that bad?
He is licking his plate not taking a shit on it. As long as he doesn't do it when out to dinner and in the comfort of his own home I can't see the problem. There are far worse habits!

Zippidydoodah · 10/12/2014 21:50

If you've asked him to stop but he still does it, that's more of a problem than the actual lickage, if you ask me...

CheeseBuster · 10/12/2014 21:54

It's foul and I would refuse to eat with him or cook for him. It's worse than finger lickers.

Buy some paper plates and watch him try and lick those.
