To want a pair of secateurs for Christmas

Apparently I won't be bought them as they're not a present for me, they are a 'house' present. But considering there's only me to do the gardening, and it's something I can think that I could do with rather than wracking my brains for something I'm not particularly bothered about.....

(And yes I probably have spelt them incorrectly!)

foslady - YANBU Smile I had my small Felco secateurs for Christmas a few years ago. They are mine and mine alone as they are too small for DH to use and the DSs aren't going to ruin them either! They don't count as a 'house' present either.

foslady, true my WR wasn't seasonal reindeer muck BUT it came from a local racing stables. And, truth to tell, my vegetables fair galloped away.(groan)

I want a trowel. More than anything else at all. I'm the one who will use it so it will be my present, not a house (or should that be garden?) present.

Secateurs sound like a fab present to me, although I've already got three pairs.

One year I was staying with rel for Christmas in NY. My gift was in a silver and grey MOMA box and contained.......a trake. A cross between a trowel and a rake. Lovely thing, it is.

Brilliant present. Burgon and Ball every time. DH once bought me a Japanese razor hoe from there - best gift ever. Their topiary shears are also excellent.
