Fb releated I am afraid... I put a status along the lines of anyone who votes for Nigel Farage after his latest little gem of breast feeding needs their head looking, and a idiot has commented agreeing with him Angry

So mn please give me wise words to shoot him down!

Again with the hat...

"The law of the land has nothing to do with it, i can't wear a hat in the restaurant yet that's not against the law. I'm accused of being small minded for having a different view to you. Think you're showing the traits of being small minded."

And I am small minded.. hmmm Hmm

This man is clearly stupid. Don't waste any more of your time and effort on him, just unfollow him!

You aren't allowed to wear a hat in a restaurant because, whilst it isn't against the law, neither is it protected by law. Breastfeeding is protected by law because small minded idiots persist in seeing breasts as purely for sexual pleasure and get uncomfortable and offended seeing them (and when I say seeing them, I mean tiny brief flashes, not page 3 displays) used for their primary purpose. And their primary purpose is really quite important, what with being the source of nutrition for a tiny person. Yet somehow these people manage to go about their daily lives untroubled by page 3, billboards, etc.

I am not calling you small minded for disagreeing. I'm calling you small minded for being small minded.

Then de-friend.

Tell him his arse is for sticking his head up and will he please get on with it while you record it for YouTube.

Icimoi · 06/12/2014 00:06

What the hell does he mean by "The law of the land has nothing to do with it"? It has everything to do with it. Claridges conduct as endorsed by Farage was unlawful.

You might just as well say it's not fair that the law prevents black people from being vilified in public whilst failing to prevent restaurants from making people remove their hats. Or it's not fair that the law protects people from having their belongings stolen whilst failing to ensure his right to wear a hat. The plain fact is that those are areas where Parliament has decided to step in, whereas, not surprisingly, it doesn't regard freedom to wear hats as an issue requiring protection. It's all about what is or is not against the law, full stop.

this might help ?

Mr Farage, I'll wager many more people are much embarrassed about having you as part of our political culture than they'll ever be by babies or breasts. Breastfeeding is normal, it's not dirty, or sexual, or something to be hidden and ashamed of. Every mother deserves to be able to make her own choice about how to feed her baby and not to be influenced by politicians making ill-judged comments like yours. If nipples make you uncomfortable then you might like to see about having your own set removed! Sir, nobody puts my baby in the corner, I will continue to feed wherever she needs, whenever she needs, because there's absolutely nothing offensive about my boobs or my baby. Hopefully if enough of us are brave enough for long enough our daughters or their daughters will eventually live in a society where patriarchal judgmental bullshit like your words today no longer exists,
Regards

They serve cow's milk. Why is that more acceptable than human milk?

PlummyBrummy · 06/12/2014 12:39

A) it's illegal to have tried to prevent her from breast feeding there
B) she had also paid to enjoy her meal in the lovely ambiance of Claridge's. Her money and her enjoyment are as important as any of the other clientele. Lucky baby to be taken to such smart places!

Just ask him if he is OK using a urinal, how would he feel if asked to cover up when peeing.
