no, not really, just need a vent

have a relative stay. stressful enough as it is. same old unfunny anecdotes as every last visit.
generally lovely person, but as they say about fish and visitors...

anyway, they flood the bathroom each day when they take a shower. floor properly covered in a big puddle. have no idea how they manage to do it, even my 8yo makes less of a splash.

so wibu to switch off the hot water so they won't have a shower?

I do find it funny now Better. At the time I wasn't so amused and said something along the lines of "I hope you're going to finish that, cos no bugger else is gonna want it now". Mind you, this is the fella who has been known to fish bits of pizza from under the sofa cushions that he'd lost while drunk the night before, and eat them for breakfast, so I shouldn't have been entirely surprised! Confused

I explained about the shower curtains, that you sort of have to stick it to the wall...

two more floods days to go.

better you would not think I'm a saint if you could hear what I'm calling them inside my head! I got so cheesed off earlier I bunged the baby in the car and drove for an hour. Baby napped and I ate some humbugs. Bliss.

Dh has norovirus and has been in bed for 36 hours. I feel very sorry for him, obviously, but it's flipping terrible timing with our guest from hell Angry

An update from the rest of the day - they overfilled the kettle and flooded the worktop, exploded a curry in our microwave and dyed their hair AGAIN

oh hoggle we can swap: you come over for a peaceful night and lots of cake and your visitors can deal with mine :o

Then when they get out of the bathroom, HAND THEM A MOP AND TELL THEM TO WIPE UP THEIR MESS AS IT'S DAMAGING YOUR FLOORS.

mausmaus it's a deal! That sounds lovely. And we can let the soggy visitors and the messy visitors sort themselves out Grin
