Agree that you have to word it to include as many people as you can, keeping your fingers crossed that the expert you're looking for will see it at some point.

But to get posters fighting bumping it up there needs to be a little controversy/outrage.

(If it's this thread I would say to put in the title/thread that they're going to leave you without any cash over Christmas, but I think you'd be pounced on as trying to fleece people rather than outrage at them taking the piss.

It does sound awful though, how do they think you're supposed to live?? DH is paid weekly and we'd be fucked if they decided not to pay us until the 28th!

ireallydontlikemonday · 28/11/2014 22:38

I never look at posters names, just see if it interests me.

usualsuspect333 · 28/11/2014 22:38

I posted a thread about feeling ill looking for some sympathy and didn't get one reply. Bastards Grin

abouttobeevicted · 28/11/2014 22:43

agent

that is me.

I agree screwed but its worse I work for a top FTSE financial company who would be horrified if they knew I had no money. I handle 1-5 m budgets. they would be horrified if they knew I can't shop in Iceland for my food as I don't have enough money

wakeywakeyteaandcakey · 28/11/2014 23:44

I kill threads. Seems when I post it dies a death lol

Christina22xx · 29/11/2014 01:41

Why would you think your lame insults affect me? You hide behind keyboards to insult people.
Your life's sound sad.
Keep up the obsession tho, its hilarious.

claraschu · 29/11/2014 06:39

Can I ask a dim question? How do I find someone's past posts? When I searched in spotlight I didn't find Usual's illness or Notsuretoday's son.

confusedandemployed · 29/11/2014 06:49

OP I think making you wait til the end of Dec for your wages is not reasonable, as defined on the web page that Claw linked to, particularly when you have always been paid weekly.
Raise it with the agency and if you get no joy, I would suggest you tell your manager at the company you are working at. They are not bound to do anything presumably, as your contract is with the agency - but if they are as decent as they sound they will be mortified on your behalf. I wonder if there is anything in their contract with the agency about the agency's obligation to pay staff? Must be worth a look.

CatLady25 · 29/11/2014 16:29

What was Your post?

meltedmonterayjack · 29/11/2014 16:48

It does seem to be the luck of the draw sometimes when it comes to replies. The most long running thread I ever had was about mason jars in the lakeland catalogue! Go figure.

If the advice needed is specialist or if people aren't sure about whether their replies are accurate, then probably they won't risk replying and telling you the wrong thing.

I asked for something really specific that only people with knowledge of German pharmacies could answer. Obviously none of the German contingent were around when I posted or weren't sure whether the item was available.

It's hard though when you really want advice desperately and to get so few replies. Sometimes it's worth re-posting because different people will be around and might be able to advise.

If hope you do get the advice and help you need very soon.
