To avoid allowing my wind smelling friend in my house

I have a friend. well he's an ex but we have stayed friends. Anyway he has really bad wind it stinks disgusting. The smell has made me sick a couple of times. sometimes i just gag. But its really disgusting the thought of it makes me feel ill. When he does it he thinks its funny and really laughs. part from that hes a nice guy in general. Anyway he sometimes want to pop over and as much as i like his company. I really cant be doing with the wind. aibu to not allow him over? although i find it really hard to say no so dont know how that will work.

order him some of these?

Get a box of matches and light one when he farts. A lit match gets rid of fart smells instantly.

he sometimes tells me i have a problem with my gag reflexes. maybe he really thinks that :/

the social thing im not sure about. i think it might be partly that eveyone he knows has a partner/family of their own. but he knows im sitting in on my own. im quite sure hes not thinking oh ghost is on her own she could do with a bit of company i think its more to do with him wanting it. he stays in contact by message/phone for a chat. but when hes seeing someone he does not come over... maybe i should set him up with someone

It's methane gas, so very combustible, but I think it burns off pretty well instantly. I'm sure you could find demonstrations of it on youtube if you really wanted to

Perhaps you could rig up some sort of automatic airtight commode which opens when it senses an increase in air pressure, sucks the fart in and automatically closes with an airtight seal when the pressure returns to normal. It could have a detachable storage tank which he could take with him at the end of the evening.

You dont want to be nasty, but he does! Like you say, he purposefully lifts his bum, farts and laughs even if he knows how it makes you feel.

So just tell him, that you dont really feel like his company anymore because he enjoys farting when he knows how it makes you feel.
