Well our local tree is up. Please will you kind mumsnetters share our sad little Christmas tree far and wide? It has its own facebook group and is beginning to spread on Twitter.

Did you ever see, such a pathetic little tree.

I'm not quite sure why Wyn is so angry? Because Emma moaned about a tree and she isn't getting the recognition she deserves?!? Confused

Madcatgirl · 27/11/2014 22:15

Emma was mentioned I believe, but if it doesn't suit the Story the media will not mention her. She deserves the credit for opening the page, but it's a real community effort that's seen it come so far so very quickly.

I was in uni yesterday talking to the press for gods sake! I even gave Emma's name, but is not even been mentioned. Let's hope her charity evening comes together! Thanks

Madcat, I'm bumping this as both our trees have made the Buzzfeed 13 most depressing trees in Britain list....

Ours is quite big, if sparsely lit, but the main feature is a sign attached to the branches stating that it was donated by 'Your Conservative Council'. Still deciding how best to add a 'so piss here' notice underneath.

(Backstory, awful council who have told incredible lies and cut every important service drastically, but still get voted in because they haven't raised the council tax in years).
