To ask a poo-troll-bait question in aibu... Prolapse...

So... Shit happens...?

Due to prolapse related issues, I pass a small amount of urine and faeces at times. I have been using pantyliners to save the embarrassment of a tena equivalent, but they are not great. I wanted to know if anyone could recommend a particularly long pad that would be up to the job of both wee and poo.

I've tried googling it extensively, but only seem to get recommended nappies Hmm I know it is not a rare problem as I've spoken to people about prolapse issues here before.

I unreasonably posted in aibu because i think incontinence (especially faecal incontinence) shouldnt be hidden away in a general health thread. Urinary incontinence is not as shameful a secret as it was before, after all...?

(you'll notice i was not brave enough to not name change though. Check with hq if you want, im a real poster)

Thank you Flowers

Would maternity pads work? They're a bit longer and thicker than normal pads

I have a genetic problem with my connective tissue, it makes herniation more likely in all sorts of areas, as basically I'm over-stretchy. Already had an inguinal hernia fixed as a child and I am now being referred to get this fixed (also a million other unrelated issues with my health). I'm not holding my breath though as it apparently only works 2/3 of the time, even without the collagen problem.

It was just after I had DC1 that I saw something similar on Embarrassing bodies, its thanks to that programme that I saw my doctor about it at all. Til then I'd just written it off as a postnatal thing that meant I should do more PF exercise!

Another one to say good for you for speaking up...I only had urinary incontinence and that was bad enough...after a vigerous dance I was completely wet and my friends DH pulled me down to sit on his knee..luckily he was quite drunk...but still...I had a TVT about 6 years ago...I really hope there is help for you soon....
