we have heart radio (aparantly we cant get any other stations) on in the office, and seriously i dont know how they have the barefaced bloody cheek to say "more music variety" they played Paloma Faith - only love can hurt this way twice by 11.30am!! (once at 8.45). They ruin songs we used to like, by constantly playing the same songs all the time

its dire Heart...

Ooh, who was the third person on 'who's on heart'? I only listen once every couple of weeks... I'm glad someone won it!

18yearstooold · 19/11/2014 21:39

Nigel Kennedy

pinoli · 19/11/2014 21:44

I hate Heart FM. With a passion. I go all Angry when it comes on and start stabbing the tuner.

All they ever play is Take That. Over and over and over. With the same coldplay song chucked in for good measure.

And the two breakfast presenters...that woman with the laugh and that utter dick who presents with her. I cannot bloody abide them.

Quangle · 19/11/2014 21:45

I would listen to Absolute Radio but that Frank Skinner show is horrific. The woman who is on there just to set up his jokes and fawn over him and let him be a blokey big shot. Awful. Although I do have to tune in sometimes when Smooth is on a Chicago/Air Supply loop.

18yearstooold · 19/11/2014 21:46

Is it the same breakfast show 'across the heart network'?

Dixie and gayle Emma?

Shakey1500 · 19/11/2014 21:48

Ye Gads yes. I get a lift to work and the driver has Heart radio on. It's the dullest fucking station on the airways. And seemingly without fail on the way home is that bastard wanky John Legend piece of shit track on.

pinoli · 19/11/2014 21:49

No idea if its the same across the network. But her dull transparent 'by accident' sexual innuendoes do my head in.

And I once wasted 5 mins of my laugh listening to him telling a joke about playing frisbee in the park and then something coming flying towards his head and just as it was about to hit him.....he realised it was a BOOMERANG not a frisbee Hmm They both almost died laughing at the worst joke in the world. Just cringeworthy.

Absolute radio. No repeat guarantee. Love it.

I would, if it wasn't for the same bloody adverts and breakfast show plugs every 15 minutes. It sort of overshadows the music. Shame, because I used to love Absolute Classic Rock, until they went OTT with the ads and plugs.

I listen to 6 music, now.

TheBatteriesHaveRunOut · 19/11/2014 21:54

Do they still play 'Build Me Up Buttercup' at least once a day?

Which station bigwig was getting royalties from that, then? Do they know one of The Foundations is a paedophile? (though he might be dead now - fingers crossed)

I confess I loved Jamie and Harriet but now Emma Bunton is there instead of Harriet and I can't stand her. So now I listen to Tragic Magic and I have no idea who the morning dj is but he is devoid of personality and thus a pleasure to listen to when I am half asleep and irritable.

Plateofcrumbs · 19/11/2014 21:56

I ended up having Heart on loud in the delivery suite when I was giving birth to DS - It was on when we arrived and in the midst of labour we never got round to asking anyone to turn it off. I can't listen to Bruno Mars without thinking about having contractions.

TheBatteriesHaveRunOut · 19/11/2014 21:58

In london we have jamie theakston and emma bloody bunton on the breakfast show.

I have just remembered the annoying halfwits who do the afternoon show (or did, about a year ago when I stopped listening) included one of the women that shagged then-17 year old harry styles, and thus ended her marriage.

a) why do i remember this crap?
b) ugh at Heart.

PrincessOfChina · 19/11/2014 22:01

I absolutely hate commercial radio and automatically think less of anyone who listens. It's nothing but adverts.

Our Heart Breakfast show is with Matt and Caroline so I don't think it can be the same all over.

I agree that John Legend song is always on, usually on the afternoon school run, my DS always confuses it with the Frozen song. Every time. It's like Groundhog Day! I don't mind Heart though.

Tinkerball · 19/11/2014 22:06

Is it the same breakfast show 'across the heart network'?

Nope, here in Scotland the breakfast show has local presenters. I preferred it when it was Real radio. And Whos on Heart..every time it came on (and that was a lot!) I flicked over to Clyde here, only ever have it on in the car anyway.

TheBatteriesHaveRunOut · 19/11/2014 22:06

Blimey, PofC, judgy much?!

Theorientcalf · 19/11/2014 22:07

Capital is just as bad, with their ten songs on a loop.

I heard the Sam Smith song three times in two hours!

PrincessOfChina · 19/11/2014 22:13

Very judgey. Although I haven't heard anyone here say they enjoy listening yet which baffles me. Why bother?!

I used to work on commercial radio and even hated myself for doing it. It's really soul destroying trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator all the time.

firefly78 · 19/11/2014 22:21

they play en vogue and Wilson phillips all the time!

LikeTheShoes · 19/11/2014 22:33

move to Oxfordshire, listen to Jack.

BackforGood · 19/11/2014 22:41

The presenters are regional.
In the Midlands it's Ed James and Rachel New. I like them - they're easy to listen to in the mornings. Also you get local travel news which is obviously useful.
