To think that I am pregnant even though two tests give opposite results.

The early indicator one has two lines, albeit one very faint. I did it first thing this morning.

The Clear Blue one says not pregnant, I did it an hour ago.

I gave birth to our DS 14 weeks ago, my DH reckons the hormones could be in my body from then and I have a false positive because of that.

Anyone know anymore about this?

Apologies if it offends anyone.

Jumping on to agree with clearblue aren't the most sensitive, so you probably are pregnant. Give it until Thursday or Friday and you'll get a positive there. Not that you need it really. One positive is enough for my GP as it is fairly easy for cycles to catch you out postpartum

smokinggnu · 18/11/2014 16:38

By catch you out I mean a little unpredictable for fertility window etc whilst everything settles down.

Cavkc, your dad and aunt could have been in the same school year as well. Blimey I couldnt imagine having sex 1 or 2 weeks post partum.

mameulah · 18/11/2014 17:53

Thank you everyone, am quite overwhelmed, and excited and overwhelmed......

Apologies was for anyone out there struggling to conceive who perhaps thought I was being flippant.

I can't believe it!

It is possible to get pregnant from 21 days or so after delivery.

It is very unlikely to have a false positive, far more likely to have a false negative.

batmanandrobin · 18/11/2014 18:04

my friend fell pregnant when dc was just 4 weeks so it is possible, and i believe ive heard you cannot have a false positive?!

eeeee. i think you're pregnant!!!xx

mameulah · 18/11/2014 19:21
