Sorry its a sun link, was put on FB by my cousin who loves to froth about crap like this.

www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/6095099/Sir-Bob-Adele-didnt-answer-my-calls-shes-doing-nothing.html

Adele is perfectly within her rights to not get involved if she doesnt want to, and it was not right that he made an issue of it. She didnt have to return their calls, she didnt have to get involved, she didnt have to do a damn thing!

AIBU to think that he had no right to say this, unless of course he is going to "name and shame" every single other british artist that didnt join in?

I bet that is exactly what he said. Word for word. Hmm

Serendipity30 · 16/11/2014 19:08

When did she object to paying taxes and whats the relevance?

Alisvolatpropiis · 16/11/2014 19:08

Blooming

If by "making a living" you mean - makes money then you'll be relived to know he does not. The money goes to the charity.

CatsCantTwerk · 16/11/2014 19:11

I like Bob, I do not understand the hatred towards him.

Toadinthehole · 16/11/2014 19:15

Have I just stumbled across the Two Minutes Hate?

bloodyteenagers · 16/11/2014 19:21

Wasn't the tax thing back when she released her first album? Would be a bit of a shocker for anyone to find out that half your income goes to the tax man. Hardly relevant, but if you want to talk about tax dodgers, he is no saint either.

sanfairyanne · 16/11/2014 19:24

how can it be shocking to find out about tax? weird

Nancy66 · 16/11/2014 19:25

well she still lives here and isn't a tax exile so she can't object that much.

Well it's The Sun so half of it probably isn't even true. If it is, I think she was very rude not to return the call . I'm not a fan anyway tbh.

Equally I'm not a big fan of Geldof but I do think that he (and Midge Ure who actually wrote the blasted song and always seems to be forgotten) are trying once again to raise money for something incredibly important. Ebola is horrific and anyone who has watched Alex Thomson's reports on Channel 4 this week will know just how awful it is. I don't particularly like Geldof but I do admire some of the things he does.

RiverTam · 16/11/2014 19:35

good God, when will people stop believing that everything they read in the press (it's the Sun, FFS!) is the gospel truth???

ilovechristmas1 · 16/11/2014 19:44

the whole live aid thing is boring and stale, something more fresh should have been done

Bono should of stayed at home and put his hand in his rather large pocket, people would of paid for him to stay away: Grin

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 16/11/2014 19:57

I used to work with someone who would often say in a sarcastic way "It was in the sun so it must be true"

None of it will be true, or there will be very little similarities with the real version. Like in Chinese Whispers for example.

Beatrixemerald · 16/11/2014 20:09

I miss Bananarama

Celticlass2 · 16/11/2014 20:12

I like Bob, Adele not so much.
