When did you start to think they might be on the spectrum, and why?
What were your signs?

Thank you

Cariads, the weird thing about Thomas with my sons was... Of my 5 kids, only the one with autism and one of the non disabled ones, had no Thomas obsession. (If that makes sense). My 2 "just" dyspraxic sons were Thomas obsessed, as was one of my sons who has no disability.

I'd forgotten about this til I read this thread, but my son with autism also went through a phase of stripping the wallpaper from his bedroom wall, when he found a 'fault' in it. Then there was a chip in the plaster underneath - so he ripped off a huge hole in the plaster. One corner of his room, he was down to bare bricks! Luckily, he grew out of that phase.
