To buy this couple a toilet brush for their wedding present?

Going to a wedding soon. I invited the couple to my wedding, they RSVPd yes, but only one came (the other was away for the weekend). I didn't find out until the day so paid for a meal that wasn't eaten and had an empty seat etc

Was just perusing their wedding list and looking for something in the £20-30 range. There isn't a lot, but there is a toilet brush for £25...

Oh dear. I have two Blush toilet brushes which I paid £25 each for and am just about to buy a third... tbh though they do look fab GrinGrin

If it's on the list, it's fine but I'm a little bit intrigued by how a shit scourer can get to cost £25.

Is it unicorn bristle or something?

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 10/11/2014 14:14

The trouble with 99p Ikea loo brushes is that they're very light so they get knocked over easily and then you have to clean up the manky liquid that spills out of the holder

This reminds me I want to go and buy a more expensive one. Maybe not £25 though.

SaucyJackOLantern · 10/11/2014 14:14

How fab does something need to look when you're elbow deep in your OH's "remnants"?!

CariadsDarling · 10/11/2014 14:43

Just let it go. Its all par for the course. Paying for meals at a wedding or a do and people not turning up.

Just rise above it.

MackerelOfFact · 10/11/2014 15:10

Get a cheaper one and supplement it with some Toilet Duck, Andrex Washlets and some air freshener. A shit hamper, if you will.

hmc · 10/11/2014 15:22

You seem a bit rattled about the no show at your wedding.....

I wouldn't get the toilet brush (even though it is on their list) - its like you are making a point, and a bit petty tbh

ZingOfSeven · 10/11/2014 15:49

mackerel

Grin @ shit hamper arf arf

Flingmoo · 10/11/2014 16:31

Love the shit hamper idea... Don't forget to top it off with one of these... :D

Discopanda · 10/11/2014 16:39

Urgh, get them one of those toilet duck fresh brushes where you dispose of the tissue bit you clean with, toilet brushes are disgusting unless it's £25 because it cleans itself after scrubbing sh*t

SophiaPetrillo · 10/11/2014 16:40

Toilet brushes give me the boak.

ghostyslovesheep · 10/11/2014 17:13

add this to the hamper !

definatlylosingmysanity · 10/11/2014 18:22

Just asked my dp what he'd do in your situation he says get the toiket brush but forget to give her the holder bit Smile

Messingaboutinboats · 10/11/2014 18:34
