To be crying watching Remembrance Day marching?

Haven't ever lost any family members but I find it so sad.

Yes. I welled up explaining the two minute silence to DS 5.
I haven't list anyone either but the seemingly unnecessary loss of life saddens me.
I was moved by photos of the tower too although I live too far away. I think it should be left there longer

I have always welled up watching the proud old ex soldiers marching at the cenotaph. Used to watch every year with my dad and it always reminds me of him

It always makes me well up as well, especially seeing the old soldiers marching, many of them are now in their 90's yet they still march.

Another one here in tears, and I wept buckets watching the Fesrtival of Remembrance last night. My darling Dad, who we lost a year ago, was in the Merchant Navy in WW2 and was a POW, so it was mainly due to him and the fact I miss him so very much every single day, but it's also the whole thing....the pageantry, the respect, the pure emotion of it all.

Loving the veterans singing the old wartime songs loud and proud as they marched past the Cenotaph, talk about Dunkirk spirit!!! Brilliant xxx

I'm finding it even harder today. It's the first Remembrance Sunday that DS1 has been in the Army. He is based 4.5 hours away, it's made me miss him even more.

As for the BBC programme, I just wish that we could see all the march past rather than have interviews so we miss some of them.

I get out my husband's medals and wear them on Remembrance Sunday just around the house.

I don't normally get teary with the march past, the silence and laying of the wreaths but today I had tears rolling down, such an emotional day

I get choked up every year watching them. I was also sobbing watching the D Day 70th anniversary coverage in June.

YANBU. A few months ago I was at the recording of a play about eight brothers who went off to fight in WWI, only three came back alive. It was incredibly moving, and I've thought about them, and everyone by war, a lot today.

It was unusually dusty here too today. I was looking forward to seeing the riflemen march past, but they cut to Sophie Raworth & when they cut back they'd gone.

I always well up watching the parade and laying of the wreaths. I haven't lost anyone to war but a lot of my family were military. My great grandad was a POW in Japan during WW2, my grandad fought in WW2 and my grandma was in the WLA during the war. My other grandad was in the army as were four uncles. My dad served 26 years including two wars and tours in Northern Ireland.

I'm always moved by the way everyone stops at 11 o'clock. This year my kids are old enough to understand and I was choked up trying to explain it to them.
