To ask what your favourite types of threads are?

I only like AIBU when someone is obviously being unreasonable. My favourites are the ones where someone wants the OP to be an unpaid childminder (school run etc) for the next seven years.

I like gardening and exercise - all quite sane and no viciousness there.

Live birth threads

Crazy relationship stories of cheats getting caught

Indignant AIBU - YES!! No I'm not! Threads.

Lovely threads where people who need it get support and you can actually see the OP gain some strength from it.

I like the threads where people come up with interesting experiences For instance, the one with 'coincidences' or funny stories relating to a particular aspect of life.

I love funny life stories, be it hilarious brass neck stories, unfortunate accidents or someone farting somewhere inappropriate

Same as Cherry too. Love the funny ones.

Also like it when someone is a bit worried about something (Going on a date or starting a job, social anxiety, etc...) and they get lots of advice and then come back and say that everything went well.

Or the ones where someone has received a really cheeky/grabby request and they reply and we all wait for the update.

Parking, unpaid childcare/lifts and arrogant cat threads.

Any that contain an element of brass-neckedness are also hilarious.

The 'faffing' one that is about at the moment is another of my favourites.

Silk threads, closely followed by raw cotton. Polyester definitely brings up the rear.

I love a good in-law thread.
Makes me feel better about the lunatics (over grown children) that are my in-laws.

I love a 'I can never leave the house again...' or a 'TMI'

I'm a bit weird.

Property threads, comparing possible houses to buy.. Basically house porn.

Ones where someone blithely exhibits completely outrageous behaviour, like the one where the neighbours were using their swimming pool or holiday home. I love reading threads with this expression.

WIBU? Only my friend's cat raised an eyebrow, so now I'm second guessing myself and think I might have interfered.

The ones where a poster has only just realised something fairly obvious to most people and begs for equally embarrassing tales of lack of knowledge. And then we all confess our own lightbulb moments.

I've just realised, it's the 3rd of November and we haven't had any begging threads yet!

A couple of years ago, they were so blatant it was embarrassing...always popping up a month or so before Christmas.

I like spooky threads. And I wonder why nothing like it ever happens to me which is boring.

I love the Property threads, MN has decorated my house.
S&B are fantastic for finding great frocks.
The Education bods make me feel my DC are thick
Also adore a ridiculous wedding thread, especially if it involves a poem or dress code.

The ones where we all get far too invested in picking over favourite TV/books/bits of history, and the long-running chatty threads. Especially if they also feature inappropriate crushes, and especially when people pop in to tell us we're all overthinking and then get sucked in to the discussion for another 6 pages.

I was like a pig in shit when we got to talk about the White Queen, and then it turned out it was a bit crap and the actors weren't as pretty as they could have been.

Oh, and guilty pleasures are the ones where the OP is defending something that is wrong. Like, categorically, legally, factually wrong.

Baby name threads where the OP has suggested something like Bonzo for a boy and Lesbos for a girl. The outrage is usually hilarious but there's always someone who will defend it as 'your choice'.
