to think Jonathan Ross is a cowardly interviewer?

I caught a few minutes of his programme earlier. Why does he have to sit about a foot above his interviewees hidden behind a desk. Why can't he interview face to face in an equal status chair ( with no defences) like Parky did.

I know Jay Leno does it in the States, but it's no excuse.

He's always seemed to me to be trying desperately hard to emulate the American style chat show hosts, behind a desk e.g.

Agree Peace like he is a Serious Interviewer.

Matt Damon said on GN last time it was "the best talk show he'd ever been on " because we can all get pished & be rude without worrying about the sponsors

I do think it is like a party at your favourite naughty uncles as someone said earlier. Yes they are all their to sell/promote their latest film/book/song but he lets them improvise too & clearly does his research (or has a good team) so I should think its less arduous than some on the circuit.

Jonathan Ross is just too lecherous with his attractive female guests. I always feel embarrassed for his wife when he drools over them.

He is not interested in what his guests have to say. He us only concerned with self promotion.

The only thing in his favour is that he is slightly less sycophantic than Chris Evans.

The Jonathan Ross show is all about Jonathan Ross. Totally boring and rubbish (both him and the show). Graham Norton every time please. Check out on youtube the Miriam Margolyes and Will-i-am interviews. That was lovely TV.

The Gwyneth Paltrow interview put me off him forever...

Most of the interviewees are managed by the same manager JR has- ie Russell Brand. He is NOT going to give them a hard time.

I agree it's all about him. I noticed he was doing the sofa thing though - getting them all to stay rather than one at a time.

I can't watch his show, his arse licking makes me want to take my eyeballs out and stuff them in my ears so I don't have to see or hear him.

He always ends an interview by crawling up the celeb's bum and telling them how sweet their shit smells.

I love Graham Norton though, long may he reign!
