Yes cheesecakemom, they do. People with poor circulation and arthritis like my mum for example...

Captainweasel · 02/11/2014 10:12

I love my uggs. They make my feet so happy. I'm past caring of no one wears them any more or whether they were on fashion.

I agree with the shuffle though. I've found that if I do shuffle I also get static shock when I try to open doors. No shuffles anymore

Icantstopeatinglol · 02/11/2014 10:16

I love my Uggs too, I get very cold feet and they are great for when it starts to get cold.
To be honest I'm not bothered what other people wear or what people think of me wearing them. Each to their own and all that.

LosingAllTheLego · 02/11/2014 10:23

YANBU

When I'm king of the world all uggs will be outlawed. Horrid things they are!

Moln · 02/11/2014 10:26

People that are ugg-less or fugg-less can also shuffle. Shuffling is annoying.

Don't mind uggs though as long as the feet are lifted when walking

Never noted the pronate thing, shall look out for it. recently being noticing that a large proportion of the population walk with there toes pointing slightly sideways rather than straight in front. how have more reason to shoe gaze!

RaisingMen · 02/11/2014 10:28

Only fake/cheap uggs shuffle.

And no, to the poster who asked if it was 2008, it's 2014 but I still buy Uggs because they're warm and comfortable - not because I'm trying to be fashionable. Can I look in your wardrobe please?

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 02/11/2014 10:32

Women who wear real Uggs do it to, they just don't realise!

And yeah, Uggs are slippers...

ShadyMyLady · 02/11/2014 10:40

I hate sloppy fuggs. I find myself staring at them and thinking how the hell can they walk in them all caved in like that.

I love my uggs though and no sloppiness here.

Tigerygiraffe · 02/11/2014 10:50

YANBW nothing puts my teeth on edge like a raspy shuffle but I wouldn't blame it all on the uggs, if people are shufflers they tend to do it whatever they wear.

I love my Uggs and wear them shamelessly, for almost £200 a pair I'm surprised I take them off at all

Oldraver · 02/11/2014 11:00

LondonRach do you deal with feet ? I absolutely hate the fashion (it started with the god awful gladiator things) for footwear that are just a flat piece of fabric with no shape or support, I call them pretend shoes. Ballet pumps and Converse are the wort offeneders

I need support and just mutter these people wearing pretend shoes will pay the price one day

MandarinCheesecake · 02/11/2014 11:05

I have just marched up and down the kitchen (as i am wearing my Uggs) to see if i shuffle.......i don't.

Mine are not the classic's though, so don't know if that makes a difference.
I have 2 pairs and i live in them throughout the winter, They are the only boots that keep my feet warm and dry and the only boots i can wear in the snow and ice without going arse over tit!!! Grin

I Bloody Love my Uggs!!

windchime · 02/11/2014 13:20

My cousin in Oz was amazed to learn people in this country wear Uggs outside.

wingcommandergallic · 02/11/2014 13:34

Yup, all my Oz friends laugh at Uggs because they're slippers.

missmartha · 02/11/2014 13:45

And yet they were first used as beach wear in Oz.

RonaldMcDonald · 02/11/2014 13:45

Uggs are not to be worn outside

You look ridiculous in them

missmartha · 02/11/2014 13:52

Surfers made them popular in the 60s and 70s. They were worn as part of Australian youth culture and it spread to Californian surfers.

I have been to the factory that claims to be the first to produce them in Australia. They do make slippers, but the classic boots are definitely made to be used outside.

SistersOfPercy · 02/11/2014 13:53

Ronald, opinions are like arseholes aren't they? As I said above, personal choice.

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 02/11/2014 13:58

I have ugg boots and I don't shuffle but they aren't those sheepskin slipper ones. They are leather biker boots just with a nice sheepskin inner sole to keep my feet toasty when watching the dc play sport.

Wish they would take up tennis and cricket instead of rugby football lacrosse and hockey.

susiedaisy · 02/11/2014 13:59

Yanbu op

but i won't criticise uggs as I wear crocsBlush

RonaldMcDonald · 02/11/2014 23:07

Sorry I missed the memo sisters was that meant to be the final word on the thread?
Oops

SistersOfPercy · 02/11/2014 23:41

I think i missed the memo too there Ronald, or at least I missed the part where my post said anything about it being the final word. Unless of course you were just trying to be argumentative?

FrancesNiadova · 03/11/2014 07:26

Londonrach I did a dislocated trimalleolar fracture, with lots of additional trauma.
3 years later, I've had an open ankle fusion + bone graft. The only thing I don't shuffle in is a pair of shape-ups with the huge rocking sole! Confused
