I bluddy hate the stuff. Iabu cos basically I'm moaning about my mum and she is being a superstar helping me out with ds and coming to stay...but her talc habit drives me insane.

Leaving aside that I hear it is carcenogenic, it is like having my house bug bombed or something. There is a fine white film of the stuff over everything. I clean it like mad but then hapens again. The floors are lethal slippery too.

The whole house smells like a nappy sack.

I love talc. Can you still buy the pricey stuff that comes in lovely containers with a beribboned puff?

I haven't used talc since I was 14 and was given a big (bottle? shaker? ) of it for xmas, went to use it and the top flew off and an avalanche of talc smothered the bathroom and my parents went ballistic swearing that I had done it on purpose to make a mess.

Yes, my favourite fragrance at the time, absolutely loads of it which would last me ages and I want to throw it all away for the "fun of making a mess"?

I might treat myself now. Now that I'm an adult, and all. And I have 2 bathrooms to make a mess in for me to clear up . Yay!

MassaAttack you can indeed. I just add ordinary talc to the box once its empty and use the little puff to apply It doesn't coat the whole house in suspicious white powder then!. No talc for babies but I love talc.

I love baby powderim old its great under yer boobs & top of thighs when its warm. I sometimes use it as a face powder with a big blusher brush

olbas I'll keep an eye out. I'd forgotten about Lush, too - they have lovely talc, although not with puffs.

Oh and yanbu, it's ghastly stuff. Elderly ladies come to surgery smothered in it which makes me cough and nothing sticks to them.

Talc under boobs to dry quickly or in summer when sweaty - great stuff.
