Yesterday for lunch DH did beans on toast.
I had 1 slice with beans on and an extra slice on the side, he had 2 slices with beans on and an extra slice, no probs
When I went out to clean up in the kitchen looked like a bomb had gone off i noticed he had used 2 tins of beans ?
So aibu as I only got a small amount of beans 1/2 tin at most, so even with my bad maths he got a tin and a half ???
AIBU?

Of course this is a silly question - this is blinking AIBU, the WHOLE point of the section is to resolve little problems.

Anyway OP, yab a bit u but I have a similarly greedy DP and it DOES get annoying to see people pay no attention to reasonable portion sizes.

My similar story was when we had pizza, chips and salad (I know, very healthy) and I said that I'd only have half a pizza because obviously there was everything else. DP thought that meant he'd have extra chips and 1 and a half bloody pizzas. Absurd.

If OP doesn't come back it will be because her DP has blown her into a parallel universe.

Many thanks for your mostly helpful suggestions
i will consider leaving him he does fart alot but then he did make lunch
Question time will be getting a phone call
i at the time though 1/2 tin of beans was sufficient then i saw he had used 2 tins so was alittle Shock at his portion

Beans on toast is not making lunch, OP. I'm sure he's lovely, but you really should work on raising your expectations.

Incidentally, what brand were they? I've always eaten Heinz but Branston were on special offer and I tried them with some trepidation.

Oh yeah! I weep bitter tears for all those wasted years.

Sainsbury's Basics aren't that bad either, as long as you add lots of cheese and cook them slowly, because they are as hard as airgun pellets and the sauce is runny.

I have been forcing my children to have the lower salt and sugar ones. I did rashly try some with grated cheese and they are really not very nice. Admittedly I don't really like baked beans except if they have loads of harissa stirred in, and/or Naice Cheese grated on top.

Good point limited because if they were cheapies then there may not have been very many beans in the tin, hence the need for two tins and perhaps the op got more than the half tin.
