quite cross because someone has paired Fab socks with Fun socks, they are back with writing on the bottom and different colour toes.
and occasionally my son will wear a grey pair matched with a black pair

is there a cure for me?

YANBU

I cant even stand it if you have two pairs the same and don't know which went with which.

I have sewn different coloured threads into DD's school socks (eg one pair blue, one pair red etc) so that the same two socks are always worn together.

My sock drawer has been making me feel uncomfortable for a couple of weeks now because it has been neglected all summer and I fear I am grabbing plain black socks of different vintages - planning to have a good sort out at the weekend.

Deliberately wearing odd socks - shudder

YANBU. All my socks have coloured heels/toes so they can be paired.

DD steals them and then wears them mismatched. This makes me all killy.

Dh seems to think that a black sock marked 4 - 6.5 can be matched with a black sock marked 4 - 7.

It just can't. Non-negotiable.
