FFS! Why does my mind/body do this to me?

Really got to do something about my weight, its getting absurd.

Had serious word with myself last night and made a plan - the kind of food I'm going to eat, the exercise I'm going to do, the time frame etc.

So, now, Day 1 of Mintyy's new healthy eating regime and all I can think of after 6 hours is CORNISH FUCKING PASTIES!

Hot ones. Hot and steamy ones served with a dollop of brown sauce and a lovely cup of tea.

But I haven't craved a cornish pasty for YEARS, so why today of all days? Why is this happening

Ban yourself from strawberries. Or

There's been research around positive self-talk in general. So don't tell yourself 'I can't have pasties or cakes or chocolate', say I really enjoy rice cakes (?)

Brains can't distinguish between can and can't - they just hear can can can want want want!

Or could say you'll have a pasty... after three apples, two rice cakes and a stick of celery?

Then you just end up eating an extra 300 calories Cultural. In theory you should not want the pasty or not eat the whole pasty, but pasties aint got time for that kind of logical thought Wink

I have a weakness like this. But it's not pasties, it's buttery toast made from doorsteps of crusty white bread.

It will get easier though, it's a bit like giving up smoking, it's hard at first then the act of not eating / smoking feels better than giving in a doing it.

Or you could google how to bake healthier Cornish pasties, is there a way of making them healthy ? Other than not to eat them at all.
