Ds has only just started being obsessed with watching mr bloom so I'm a bit new to it. However, he's pretty easy on the eye and I love his accent! DH is not feeling it... Grin

Dd2 loves mr bloom but sings "meet the vaggies" which is quite amusing instead of veggies

I had a thing for Boogie Pete on Boogie Beebies when my daughter was Cbeebies age. I think it was some kind of Stockholm syndrome Grin

Longdistance · 07/10/2014 21:58

Envy bauk

Yabu, he looks like he's been stuck in the 90's with Oasis on tour and probably hasn't washed since

flaneuringaround · 07/10/2014 21:59

Cataline - I have a similar experience when me and my two kids paid to see him in a show. Only 12 children (it was a small craft workshop) and not only was he grumpy and acted like he couldn't be bothered, he ignored me and my 2 year old son putting his eyes to the ground and not responding to my son's 'hi Mr Bloom'.

See him in a different light after that. Ignore me by all means but my son...and when we had pad to see him. Hurrumpf!

And yes he puts on that accent.

ChippingInLatteLover · 07/10/2014 22:04

You're welcome to him.

... and Justin whatshisname

... and Dr Ranj

and Peter Capaldi and some other ageing look a like ....

You are all nuts!!

Just creased myself laughing at anyoneForTardis's post Grin

SpicedGingerTea · 07/10/2014 22:05

Oooh, I've always thought he's rather lovely.

Got a thing for Andy too. Blush

And I like Chris from Show Me Show Me. Blush

And I think Dr Ranj is lovely, never knew he was a doctor IRL.

Justin, on the other hand,.... no thanks. Grin

They are all nothing compared to Sporticus! Now there is one fine hunk of manhood!!!

Electriclaundryland · 07/10/2014 22:23

Rank and Sid for me, and I used to like the ginger bloke from Green Balloon Club.

Electriclaundryland · 07/10/2014 22:23

Ranj!

gamescompendium · 07/10/2014 22:25

Was discussing the curious attraction of Mr Bloom with my sister who is childless and so doesn't need to spend hours watching cbeebies. She said he's a minger so agree with the PP who said Stockholm syndrome. And really not impressed that he's rude to small children.

Isn't Justin suppose to be lovely with kids and quite sweet and mosest, that's what you need from a cbeebies presenter. Anyway I'll have Sid please (daydreams of Sid in his swimming trunks). Mmmm.

littlepeas · 07/10/2014 22:29

I have seen him in the flesh and he was great with my dc. I don't fancy him as such, but I do think he would be filthy in the sack.

flaneuringaround · 07/10/2014 22:45

I should balance this up and say the year prior to meeting Mr Bloom we met Alex from Cbeebies and he was LOVELY! Really really chatty and was talking about his kids. It was just like talking to another parent. He was a sweetie.

For me it would have to be a few of the Horrible Histories...although if I met them in real life I'd be scared they'd pee on me or something.

FelixFelix · 07/10/2014 22:49

He's from Cornwall so the accent is definitely (badly) put on Grin

He brightens up my day though as long as we remember to press mute.

TinyTearsFirstLove · 07/10/2014 22:53

I've seen Mr Bloom up close, he's got the most beautiful eyes and is even better looking up close. He's fabulous with the kids in his live shows.

Have a secret crush on Chris from Show Me Show Me too!

TinyTearsFirstLove · 07/10/2014 22:54

Alex is FABULOUS! Really entertaining.

BadcatBertram · 07/10/2014 23:03

"Meet the vaggies" that really made me laugh out loud!

I do have a bit of a school girl crush on him but agree that judgement may be clouded by watching too much Cbeebies and not interacting with many real life men this year.

RawCoconutMacaroon · 07/10/2014 23:11

YUBVU. He's quite clearly up to no good, probably a serial killer, the Compostorium disposes of all the bodies and the resultant compost is fed to the Veggies. That's why they can talk ... The souls you know Grin!

StarlightMcKenzie · 07/10/2014 23:14

Is his accent real or put on? It sounds put on and is very annoying.

And do the veg realise that the tiddlers are being encouraged to eat their friends? Whole thing is creepy.

I'll second how lovely Alex is in reality - such a funny and friendly, down-to-earth bloke, with loads of time for all the kids (and Mums!) waiting to meet and greet. Really dry sense of humour too - and he was good on Celebrity Mastermind! Signed lots of things and had loads of photos taken - no charge for anything.

Hope you're taking note Mr Bloom Grin

I'm ashamed to say I also had a thing for Pete on Boogie Beebies. And it wasn't even until he wore the pilot's uniform. Worrying Blush
