To think there's NO NEED to post a pic of your baby's shit on FB

I'm a member of a postnatal group on FB, it's for mums that had their babies around the same time

Well today, Someone has posted a pic of her baby's actual shit on it as she's worried about the colour or fucking texture or something (looked normal to me btw)

It's not the first time someone's done it on there either, I regularly have to scroll past pics of shit in various shades Confused

I'd leave the group but apart from the occasionally nutty PFB type post like this they are quite a decent bunch. Is it just me though or is there no need to do that!? If I was genuinely worried about the contents of my baby's nappies i would seek actual medical help. Not post it online. Jeez.

Look, it's gross but some people see FB and social media as an extension of real life. Maybe she has no other support?

LuisSuarezTeeth · 07/10/2014 16:56

Have you seen what gets posted on here?

GaryShitpeas · 07/10/2014 17:01

Haha true luis Shock

Sallyingforth · 07/10/2014 17:12

FB is full of shit. Nothing new there.

DizzyKipper · 07/10/2014 17:23

Well it's better than adult shit I guess, now that really would be crossing a line! But yeah YANBU, there are more than enough pictures of baby shit that come up in a google search if you're worried about it, or yeah speak to a health professional.

wantstolickwilliamgraham · 07/10/2014 19:03

Urgh, I sometimes visit STFU, there's plenty who think the grossness is ok.

jellybelly701 · 07/10/2014 19:13

yanbu. Its even worse when the photo isn't because the mother is worried but because '' little teyeson has just done his first adult looking poo!''

Yes really.

HolyQuadrityDrinkFeckArseGirls · 07/10/2014 19:21

Erm, OP..? What about your nickname? Grin

HolyQuadrityDrinkFeckArseGirls · 07/10/2014 19:22

It's full of shit too!

trufflesnout · 07/10/2014 19:24

YANBU, it's ridiculous.

AlpacaYourThings · 07/10/2014 19:26

WTF, eurgh.

Fifibluebell · 07/10/2014 19:31

I agree it's gross but maybe she has no other support. She could be finding things tough 1st baby doubting everything she does with no reassurance and having no one to tell you you're being silly and everything is fine in real life can be hard

Bearfrills · 07/10/2014 19:39

On behalf of the postnatal group I'm a fab member of, YABU, we love a good poonami we do Wink

EllasMum16 · 07/10/2014 19:41

Most of the groups I'm on write their problem and then put 'pic in comments' so it's not on the actual newsfeed. Otherwise it's quite a shock!

misskatamari · 07/10/2014 19:46

Agreed Bear! I almost miss the poonami days, our babies all have boring poos now :(

SextonBlake · 07/10/2014 19:46

Well I for one like to see photos of baby poo.

Bearfrills · 07/10/2014 19:48

And trips out no longer have that same will they/won't they need a new outfit thrill :o

ILoveYouBaby · 07/10/2014 19:50

It's actually really useful to see what normal/abnormal baby poo looks like of you're a first time mum. And who doesn't like an amusing poonami photo?

TheLovelyBoots · 07/10/2014 19:50

I agree, I think if anything there's not enough pictures of baby poo. YABVVVU.

laura0007 · 07/10/2014 19:59

It's great. If not only for the pure reason that your baby will be so embarrassed when they find out you posted pics of their shit online. My sole purpose of being a parent. To embarrass my DS!

Bearfrills · 07/10/2014 20:00

Embarrassment is important for their development, it's character building.

Waltonswatcher · 07/10/2014 20:06

Dd had internal bleeding - her nappy looked like nothing I'd seen before. I didn't know what was wrong but I knew something was . We'd always been obsessed with her poos due to serious bowl issues before . I wish I'd thought of taking pics to show people what to be wary of .

Bulbasaur · 07/10/2014 20:15

As someone who did in fact google baby shit, yes, seeing other baby's poo is helpful to know if my baby is ok.

But they do have websites. Tons of websites dedicated to that subject.

LadyLuck10 · 08/10/2014 07:48

Yuck, vile woman. Some people are just too disgusting for words. Confused

WD41 · 08/10/2014 08:04

I think yabu. She's posted it in a postnatal group where only other new mums will see it, not on her general newsfeed in which case you would have a point. She obviously needs some reassurance, is it her first? How can you be that grossed out by baby poo when you're a parent yourself
