To buy maternity jeans even though I'm not pregnant?

Had my baby boy 8 weeks ago but I've seen some maternity jeans and I really want them! They're a lovely colour and in the sale and I find an elasticated waist so comfortable these days.

They'll be great for summer next year.

So AIBU to wear maternity clothes even when I'm not pregnant? They're just like jeggings, aren't they?!

They're very nice, and the elastic isn't that broad, no reason why they wouldn't work for a non-preggers person.

But what's with that website?! The clothes looked nice so I started browsing and some hideous music came blasting out. Why would anyone think that was a good idea? Confused

yabu I had a total block about mat clothes once I was 4 days past pregnancy.

I wish I had known about them before! My stomach was often a bit bloated and uncomfortable during my period due to fibroids. I would've loved something soft covering the belly but looking normal from the outside.

I couldn't wear over-the-bump maternity trousers even when pregnant - I am very short and my bump was low, so they just rolled down and gathered round my waist!

I still wear two pairs of my under-the-bump maternity combat trousers though, as they are super comfy. I suppose they only differ from standard trousers due to the elasticated sides though.

YABU! Maternity trousers never stayed up
for me! But judging from everybody else's comments this may just apply to me so just ignore my post.

YANBU

I have been wondering this myself. After two sections I have lost weight but have overhang which is awful and in a size 12 the stomach area is too tight but in a 14 the hips and thighs are too big.

I am ordering some too. It's not like I wear crop tops is it! Nobody will know!
