......so that DH will notice when I've been to the hairdressers?!
Went to the hairdressers this morning, had a good trim up, layers put in and a fringe done and also highlights. I was in there ages!
Anyway, DH comes home from work, sat opposite me eating our tea and chatting and washed up together, not a word about my hairdo Hmm
DD has just come in from work, walked into the kitchen and said 'mum, love the hair, looks great'
Even DS who's 16 noticed! Grin
What is it with men eh? The only upside to this is he never notices when I spend money on new clothes either!!

Or maybe shave it all off?? Then I could raise money for charity at the same time,
Surely he would notice then??

My hair is bright orange, it's a great colour Grin

My DP probably wouldn't notice if I had my hair cut either because I have it tied back all the time!! but as soon as I saw him I'd probably start annoying him saying "notice anything different? Do ya? Doooo ya?!" Wink

I once got back from the hairdresser (way back when I lived at home), had a style overhaul, really pleased with it, and my dad asked "what time is your hair appointment? I can drop you off if you want..."

PrettyPictures92 · 26/09/2014 15:56

I dyed my hair to fiery red from light brown. It was quite bright but not orange. No one noticed for a week even though I saw my dp most days (don't live together) Hmm

I have to admit I'm fairly in observant about this kind if thing. I'll be hours into seeing a friend before I notice they've chopped all their hair off for example Blush
My DH sometimes has a beard, sometimes shaves it all off on a whim, I almost never notice until later that day. I hope it doesn't make me self-absorbed but I suspect I prob am Confused? Try not to be too hard on him, it's prob not on purpose.
However, you should def dye your hair orange, the world would be a better place with more non-conformist looks (I'm too chicken)!

Garrrrr 'un-observant'!

DP came home and didn't notice last time I went, so asked if he liked my new fringe to which he replied "have you got a fringe" Hmm

gentlehoney · 26/09/2014 17:03

My son has gone from jet black long hair to platinum blond short hair and my husband didn't notice a thing.

Spaceboundeminem · 26/09/2014 17:11

This thread has cheered me up which I really needed. Dh never usually notices my hair changes so I didn't bother to tell him when I was going from brown to light blonde. When I came in he said " holy shit what have you done to your hair?" I said "didn't think you would notice" he replied with "how could I not" Hmm

Teddybeau1988 · 26/09/2014 17:41

Yanbu, infact I might do the same.

Last time I had my hair cut, I went from long to a short bob. DH looks up when I get home and asks ' is that a new jumper?' It was a jumper I have had for several years

Honeezreturn · 26/09/2014 21:34

You have all made me feel much better thanks! It's good to know I'm not the only one with a DH who walks around with his eyes shut, Grin
Saying that tho, mother is as bad, I have worn glasses for years and years, and when I got contacts a few years back I sat having lunch with her wondering when she would notice my glasses were gone, but in the end I had to tell her!
She said ' oh I did wonder what was different, I thought you'd had a haircut' Hmm
