what on earth should I have said???

Today a 6-year-old (not my own) asked me 'what is a soul?'

I was completely stumped!! I vaguely thought about starting off 'a magical thing inside you...' but that sounded ludicrously patronising even to a bloody 6 year old!

What would you have said??

All children should have it read to them! It's vital reading !

I explained it to my children as the part of you where love comes from.

I'd say it what keeps your body alive. Its a part if you that will never die. Its magical and is like air. It will float around when not in your body anymore:)
