To let 12 yr old ds go to barber on his own?

Just that really , ds friend wasn't allowed , his dad said it was 'bad parenting'

When I was 12 yrs my mother used to leave me to supervise my younger brother in the barbers while she did the shopping. ( is that even worse parenting?)

Well I didn't leave him alone in there Admit. I was by the door watching. I guess it boils down to how fussed you are about the hair cut. And I'm not really. He has short hair anyway.
