Yes. You will have a new born soon and then will have a genuine reason to wake him in the night.

Go get something to eat or a warm drink and try to get back to sleep yourself.

Dazedconfused · 23/09/2014 03:49

Ha i know change it would be mean.

He would be back asleep within minutes after mumbling mmhmmm at me a couple of times and turning over. I am just so bored. Ah but if I go downstairs I will wake up our cat and that really would be unreasonable Shock

I'm currently up with my baby who has only slept 3 hours since 8.30pm last night. I'm shattered and tearful and having my DH for company and a comforting hug is the only thing keeping me sane. Let the man have his sleep because once baby arrives he's going to need to be rested!!

You have my sympathies regarding insomnia though - I remember lying awake for HOURS during my last few weeks. I used to get up and go and clean the kitchen Grin

I've been up every 45 minutes since 9pm last night and I'm now up watching QVC! That always gets me and the little one to drop off in the living room! Maybe get a duvet on the sofa, a nice drink and watch a bit??

Woodenheart · 23/09/2014 04:32

Im awake, DD is 17 months and still hasn't slept through Shock

Let sleeping dogs lie, as you both have to get some rest before baby arrives, wake DCat up for a cuddle & purr instead Grin
Or come and make me a tea please!

MintyChops · 23/09/2014 05:00

I'm awake too, 38+4 with DC3 and know my other 2 will have no mercy in the day.....groan! Going to make tea now and get the dogs up for company (wise DH in spare room)

Supermummynanny · 23/09/2014 05:29

I'm awake too. My dd 22 months has decided she is not going to sleep tonight. She's been awake since 2. No idea why. She's currently laughing hysterically and bouncing in the cot. Give me strength!

TheLostWinchesterWife · 23/09/2014 05:29

I've been awake since 3.30. Haven't had more than 10-15 nights unbroken sleep in 8 years. DH is snoring as usual. You get used to recording things they don't want towatch on TV so you can watch them while they peacefully ssleep on. (I should say this is cos my body is just so used to waking now I never sleep through even if the kids do)

Thanks everyone. He is now off to work and I am slobbing on the sofa with the cat and a cup of tea. I did get back to sleep eventually without waking him but feel a bit zombied out just now so going to take it easy(as if my big pregnant body would let me do anything else).

Hope you all got some more sleep
