AIBU to wonder where the threads gone where MNs were telling us what nice things had happened to them? Things like the odd What a Pretty Baby You Have comment or A Stranger Paid My Car Parking Fee.

I wanted to start a lovely partners thread the other day because dh went on a munchies run for me at midnight.

GoringBit · 16/09/2014 19:44

I was nice to someone in Sainsbury's recently because of MN.

And no, YANBU, there seem to be a lot of bunfights and goady threads recently. (Even more than usual.)

IThoughtOfItFirst Are you expecting?

I was at work and had a craving. The cleaner came in one morning and asked,"Who's pregnant?" My One of the waste paper bins was full of carrot peelings every day.

With number 2, we were going on a long journey but I wanted to eat bananas. We called at our local Co-op and bought eight. I ate them, one after another, and, 45 mins later, I had to tell then DH to stop the car because I wanted to be sick. I opened the car door and got rid of eight bananas that way.

I once let someone who wasn;t a blood relative piss in my toilet.

Am I super-duper nice, or just someone who's not a bit of a prick?

awsomer · 16/09/2014 21:01

Grin Have you been reading the 'delivery driver needs toilet' thread Gin?

Shakey1500 · 16/09/2014 21:04

Thanks, you just reminded me!

I've been planning leaving a quid in a little envelope on the vending machine at work saying "Have one on me! And pay it forward Smile "

Going to write the envelope now and hope whoever, out of the 6000 people who work there, needs a lift tomorrow Grin

Once I was pregnant and travelling alone down to England and I was struggling to carry my toddler and get to the flight boarding gate in time. ds1 was screaming, I was clearly hassled / tearful and hadn't got a buggy. A lady with older children saw my distress and just said "what you need is for me to carry him for you" and immediately I trusted her to do so. She carried ds1 to the boarding gate while I recovered my composure and ds1 was so surprised he stopped crying too.

HappyAgainOneDay · 17/09/2014 07:40

awsomer Yes, that's it. Thank you. I've ticked the Watch box now.

It's nice when you see acknowledgement of your niceness, Shakey

I went to a nearby town where there's the only decent fabric shop in the area. I found myself in a pay and display car park and had only notes or coppers and the machine would take neither. I began to walk away from the machine when a stranger came up to me and finished up paying the 70p for me.
