Head of junior won't let infant school mums walk across his playground at home time

This is at 3.20 as apparently the juniors will get distracted by us as we pick up at 3.15 if they are doing PE - should't they be getting changed at this time.
I wonder if he will let any of the junior mums onto playground before 3.20
This is OK but a few of us are in the classroom round the back which has an open adjoining gate to infants - just have to walk the long way round I guess.
I have checked with the infants in exasperated state and they said it is a separate school etc etc - we are just feeding back from him etc etc
GRRRR

Thing is...it's not their home time is it?

It is two separate schools!

Mintyy · 16/09/2014 19:38

I seriously need to know how far the long way round is.

Vycount · 16/09/2014 19:40

Minty, it doesn't really matter though does it? But I must say, the mums moaning about a bit of a walk could just view it as a small amount of healthy exercise. Grin

What do you mean "it doesn't really matter though"? It matters to me, enormously.

mutternutter · 16/09/2014 19:49

We have never been allowed to do this. We even get locked out of the playground for bad behavior i.e toddlers running wild

GoblinLittleOwl · 16/09/2014 19:50

Junior school property, not a Right of Way. Mothers traipsing through is a huge distraction, plus a safety issue.

Seems very odd to me tbh.

But then I work in an infant school with a totally separate junior school in the same grounds. There are no gates separating our two school grounds, so it would be very hard to police anyway. The children know the "magic" lines for playtimes, but there are no physical separating lines.

It just sounds very petty and little to do with safeguarding ime. Perhaps a newer SMT trying to make their mark and lay down some ground rules.
