Aibu re smoking under our bedroom window

This weekend new lady moved in to our block. Shes taken to smoking under our bedroom window. Our bedroom is on 1st floor overlooking the entrance door. The smell is awful. We usually have our windows open. Ive had to close them today but still the smell creeps in. Old ash tray smell that gets into you. It just makes you gag. My clean bedding smells awful now. I used the last of my blue lenor as well. Today i had to phone up the managing agent as shes a chain smoker. The butts under our window are now a considerable pile but that doesnt bother me. Its the smell. Is there anything else i can do until the managing agent writes letter to everyone reminding people they need to smoke away from the building. (Trying not to be sick due horrible smell).

Dh has just come in to bedroom asking if id been smoking as the smell so bad. He teasing as ive never smoked due to the smell... Ok ideas to get rid of smelll and will talk to her tomorrow. Hopefully shes like sunshine x

Did you really think that would work? A passive aggressive thing like that is guarenteed to her back up.

It would be better if you asked nicely. Take round a bottle of wine, introduce yourself, you've then created a subconscious obligation on her part to reciprocate, so you explain the smoking gets Ito your bedroom, offer an alternative eg smoking out the back, by the wall or something. Job done.

If all else fails, get yourself an air purifier.

Where is she going to have to go to not have this problem though?!

I don't think it's fair to ask her to go across the car park with the foxes

Chuck a bucket of water out the window every time she lights up !! I reckon she'd soon get the message!!! LOL!!!

You also need to deal with vermin in the car park. I'd be more bothered by foxes.
