to take tomorrow off as sick?

I have a undiagnosed heart issue which means my blood pressure can drop suddenly, leaving me good for nothing

I felt rough this morning but went I to work as a report was due today. my boss is on a work trip all week so wanted to get it done. At 11 30 I had an episode and work made me take a taxi home. I'm now at home on the sofa resting. if I go in tomorrow the report needs to be done but after the feedback this morning it needs a lot more work then I thought Sad

would I be unreasonable to take tomorrow off to rest fully so I can start again on Wednesday fresh and able to do my job properly?

Not unreasonable at all. Low blood pressure can make you feel lousy. Rest up, I would

YANBU. But undiagnosed - does that mean the docs don't know what it is? Or that you haven't seen a doctor? genuine question: please forgive my ignorance! Smile

Take tomorrow off. That's what sick leave is for - when you're not physically/emotionally fit to work. Hope you feel better soon

Can you offer to work on the report from home for a bit. That'll take the pressure off you for Wednesday. Is the stress of the report contributing to the condition?

undiagnosed meaning I've had tests after hospital visits but waiting to see a cardiologist

if we work from home its still considered as sick and its such a nasty job to do - comparing two massive spreadsheets it will be easier on my large monitor at work

If working from home is considered sick, then you are sick.

You are sick and you need time to recover, working in bed is not going to cut it either way.

How important is this report? Really? most of my reports are process rather than proper insight and a fulcrum of decision meeting.

Could you send top lines and give a timeline for the more detailed stuff?

FlowersCakeBrewhope you feel better soon!

time this is a report that is distributed to top management by working day 11 or 12 so very important

I've done a first draft and emailed it out for comments
