Is intended to be patronising, or AIBU?

Yabu, you're overthinking it.

Lally112 · 08/09/2014 00:15

YABU, its like laughing in a nice way and not laughing at you coz you're a twat. like funny haha or funny peculiar.

WaywardOn3 · 08/09/2014 05:32

Sometimes I say the most bizar things, DH has started calling them Waywards quote of the week or if I'm having a particularly good week he gets quotes of the day :-)

It's all part of the fun he gets living with someone who doesn't always fully engage their brain before speaking

however · 08/09/2014 06:08

No! In fact, quite the opposite!

DontDrinkAndFacebook · 08/09/2014 06:19

YABU.

It means exactly what it says. In a nice way, as opposed to laughing at in a scornful way.

ChasedByBees · 08/09/2014 06:24

Not at all patronising.

CinnabarRed · 08/09/2014 06:28

I'd say affectionate rather than patronising, but it does depend on who said it to whom and how.

Shahsham · 08/09/2014 06:30

In a personal context yabu but if this was said to me at work I would find it patronising. What was the context?

BlackeyedSusan · 08/09/2014 07:06

I nearly posted that about a comment yesterday... one that had me nearly waking the children as I snorted so loudly. so no not always patronising.

If verbally, you would know from the tone of voice etc.
